Theyâre not denying drivers licenses to Latino citizens of the US. Just undocumented immigrants. While I disagree with the policy of denying undocumented immigrants drivers licenses for a variety of reasons, one isnât so that they can vote. Did you read this article at all???

To my knowledge there is no DIRECT Federal law that prohibits States from issuing driverâs licenses, but there are Federal laws that prohibits the release of Social Security numbers to illegal aliens.

Social Security number is a requirement for ALL Arizona residents to obtain a driverâs license, thus Federal Immigration Laws have a heavy hand on denying illegal immigrants access to driverâs licenses.

Furthermore, only a handful of States grant driverâs license privileges to illegal aliens, the vast majority does not. Are all those other States racists as well?

The right to vote is only for American Citizens, born or naturalized. All others including legal aliens with work visas or green cards cannot vote, having a driverâs license or not.

Jeff Sessions (R-AL) had asked SSA: âHow many individuals have applied for SSNs as a result of the June 15, 2012, memorandum issued by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano entitled âExercising Prosecutorial Discretion with Respect to Individuals Who Came to the United States as Childrenâ?â
âBy the end of fiscal year (FY) 2014, we had issued approximately 541,000 original SSNs to individuals authorized to work under the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy since its inception,â Colvin said in her April 10 response.
Napolitanoâs June 15, 2012 memo states that âfor individuals who are granted deferred action by either ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] or USCIS [U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services], USCIS shall accept applications to determine whether these individuals quality for work authorizations during this period of deferred action.â
The 2012 memo acknowledges that it âconfers no substantive right, immigration status or pathway to citizenship,â adding that such benefits can be conferred âonly [by] the Congress, acting through its legislative authority.â
However, according to Sessionsâ office, "an illegal immigrant who receives a Social Security number will be able to draw federal tax credits, Social Security retirement benefits, and Social Security disability benefits.â

Now illegal aliens in Arizona can provide any other listed documentation, as everybody else in the State, and obtain their very own driverâs license. So whatâs the Judge beef anyway?
