Zelensky Held All-Day Media Event To Continue Distancing Himself From Trump

During a day-long media event at a food court in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky continued to try to shove considerable distance between himself and the political scandal currently engulfing President Trump.

An undeserved case of ETTD?

Stockholm syndrome. My bet: Zelinsky won’t last more than another 6 months in office. Tops.

At best, a useful idiot.

Everything Trump Touches Dies?

I’ll be surprised if he’s still alive in 6 months, if he hasn’t fled the country before then.

Oh, I think he deserves it. Like Trump, he has absolutely no background and lacks the temperament for his job. Hubris.

“During a day-long media event at a food court in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky continued to try to shove considerable distance between himself and the political scandal currently engulfing President Trump.”

Seems legit. Boris Johnson plans to plunge Great Britain into a hard Brexit from a command center in an Orange Julius.

“We didn’t speak about this,” he told reporters. The call “wasn’t linked to weapons or the story with (Ukrainian gas company) Burisma,” adding that he doesn’t “want to interfere in any way in the elections.”

Is that the call where he asked for the anti-tank weapons and was asked for “a favor”? That call that wasn’t linked to weapons? Dude, give it up. Trump stank doesn’t wash off.

There’s that word again. Yes indeed.

What Zelinsky seems to be unaware of is that Trump will seize upon Zelinsky’s words, like “no blackmail” and tweet the shit out them for months, embarrassing Ukraine and Zelinsky in the process. That’s gonna leave a mark in the Ukraine.

That part is true. The early stories from WaPo referenced a “promise”. All of the details to date describe extortion.

Absolutely right

Collateral damage.

Not sure whether he deserves it, only because he had no idea what he was doing (note to US and to UKR: do not vote in leaders of state who have no experience in the field).

But he’s certainly a poster child for the dangers of naivete at the apex of power.

I am not much in touch with Ukrainian politics, but I will agree that he is deeply hamstrung now by all of this.

Hope you’re wrong about that, but his political career is definitely going to be very, very, very short.

It stikes me that if this was a completely “neutral”,”perfect” call, and nothing about weapons and blackmail was discussed, then Zelinsky might want to clear the air by releasing his records of the conversation.

I’m thinking now that a conversation happened between two liars, a big one and a small one.

Yes, that’s what ETTD stands for.

It’s a pretty accurate statement for anyone who works with Trump.

Trump ran and came into office with a clearly stated belief he had all the answers to all the questions in the universe. He still has that view. Is Zelensky of the same mold? Hubris wise that is.

It’s Ukraine. Not exactly uncommon for that there. Common people are safe, but the elite who play in the big leagues, not so much.
