A frantic, unhinged, “no way it’s real” letter from President Donald Trump to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is authentic, the White House confirmed to TPM Wednesday.
“Let’s work out a deal!” Trump wrote to Erdogan. “You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy—and I will.”
Laicie Heeley, a fellow with the Budgeting for Foreign Affairs and Defense program at the Stimson Center: “From a security point of view, it’s a roll of the dice to continue to have approximately 50 of America’s nuclear weapons stationed at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, just 70 miles from the Syrian border.”
And just along the way, Trump encloses a letter sent to him by the Kurdish leader, in order to demonstrate to Erdogan that the latter can extract a lot of concessions. Basically, Trump again betrays the Kurds by giving away their negotiation position to their opponents.
Dump is like a child. Mind you, he’s like a child in possession of the nuclear football, but he has the emotional and intellectual capacity of a below average child nonetheless.
Listen you stupid Orange Blimp, you are responsible for the killing of the Kurds. Erdogan is no paragon of virtue, but Trump started this. Effin Moron.
