Release, release, release.

This would be a good opportunity for his bankers to compare documents.

Be careful what you wish for. repubs will do the same when they control the House and go after Democrats’ tax returns. There may be a tit-for-tat scenario on the horizon; nevertheless The House is obliged to pursue orange’s tax returns, criminality is in his DNA and it’ll be in tax returns.

I’m sure the returns would provide much research value, and they may also be key in other inquiries. But not likely to have an immediate impact in the “real world.”

So, vote to release them and recommend legislation requiring candidates to release the info. Which legislation won’t have a chance of getting past the Senate now, or the House after January.

Still could be “interesting” reading I suppose.

This ought to be a no-brainer. Release them!

  • Every other presidential candidate in recent memory has released his or her returns; the American people are entitled to see those of the former guy
  • If the Democratically-controlled House does not release the returns, they will never, ever be seen.
  • The former guy is still not behind bars. There are lots of potential future prosecutions that could come out of those returns. Help further the wheels of justice!
  • Insatiable curiosity. Still a thing!

The problem with this scenario is that Democrats have been releasing their returns, with no fuss or legal action required.

I think the general response from a normal bank should be “These are supposed to be the same, right? No numbers match”

As the main lender is Deutsche Bank, it will be “yeah, whatevs”

Also - Dooooooooooooooo it now - TMFWWNBN will never release voluntarily, and they will show he is broke AF. Or claims for tax purposes to be broke AF. In theory the FBAR should also show how much cash he’s stashed outside the US and where it is, assuming he’s not lying (hahahah)

If there’s a Dem who is hiding something in their returns that the American people should know about, then I would applaud the GOP for releasing them to the public. And if a Dem is not hiding something and the GOP releases their returns, well no harm to the Dem and shame on the GOP (like that means anything). When one party is corrupt to its core and the other more or less plays by the rules, the former has far more to fear from the law and public scrutiny than the latter.

Exactly why they need to be released.

Only candidates for Pres have released - GQP can still release Nancy Pelosi, for e.g., as she hasn’t. Though they all do the statements they are required to release

You know the repubs will figure out a way. For example, maybe in addition to Hunter’s laptop, they’ll set their sites on his tax returns, which no doubt will be easily accessed. But generally speaking, no one’s tax return will be protected from scrutiny.

I’m not opposed to it if anybody’s thinking that, but for every action there is a reaction. That’s all.

Trump is hiding his smartness.

You know, I’ve been hearing a few things in the news on the way to work lately, and I’m starting to wonder if maybe President Trump wasn’t 100 percent good.

Did he declare himself “smart” before or after stalking HRC around the stage?

Bad to the bone, especially on the day pre presidential ambitions, he wrote a letter about the young men wrongfully convicted of rape in Central Park and he pushed for the return of the death penalty.
