FBI Director Christopher Wray reportedly won’t have to job hunt when President-elect Joe Biden takes office — as long as President Trump doesn’t get around to firing Wray first.
The Biden adviser, however, told the Times that Biden’s team was “not removing the FBI director unless Trump fired him.”
So by saying that to press the idea is to have Trump fire him? I kind a get the logic. Too much tainted by Trump not to wish to wish continue, acted with enough integrity that firing him would have a political cost?
Seems like IMPOTUS firing personnel at this point is little more than vengeance (which he relishes too much). Be it Barr or Wray or whomever, at this point, their replacement can’t make it through the Senate confirmation process and anyone who replaces them have to have had previously been confirmed by the Senate. So, as wackadoodle as they are, not much can or will happen that won’t be challenged in some fashion. Not that it matters to “burn it to the ground” 45.
Here’s what Trump says may be his most important speech! It’s all about the massive fraud! It’s all stuff you’ve heard before! Seriously don’t click! You’ll be bored! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!!1!!
Agreed. Although, I would really like Biden to appoint some Republican senator (or two) from a state with a Dem governor to some post that gets them out of the Senate. Toomey and Collins would be at least reasonably sane choices. I say this now, but all bets are off if we win both GA senate seats.
