With Other Authoritarian Schemes Cooking, Wisconsin GOP Backs Off Protasiewicz Impeachment

After receiving less-than-enthusiastic feedback from a former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice on proceeding with impeachment plans against Justice Janet Protasiewicz, it appears GOP state legislators are dropping the gambit for now.

Schemes within schemes. Doesn’t this ever get tiring for the Wisconsin GOP?

It would be nice if they actually decided to do the business of the people of Wisconsin instead of continuing to rig elections. But there I go ahead, asking for the GOP to be sane and follow the principles of democracy. When will I ever learn?

Vos: if she so much as sneers at a Republican we’re going after her…

Maybe they should meet one of my neighbors.

Bob, the cat. In someone’s backyard.

This language sounds a lot as if they’re trying to put a good face on even their own voters wanting to kick them to the curb. Only question for me is whether the current lawsuit matures in time for a new map to be used in the next election.

OK OK - first we’ll have a trial and then we will hang her!

Look, the competition for “most ridiculous bullshit I ever heard” is stiff, but how is this not far and away the gold medalist? I mean this idea that an elected Justice can’t campaign on what they think about issues that are likely to come before the court?

WTF is the purpose of an election then, duh?

How is any judge supposed to run for reelection, if not on their record of how they ruled before and how they’re likely to rule again, duh?

I think it’s time to “Bob Menendez” a senator from Wisconsin named Ron Johnson, don’t you?I wonder how hard it would be to influence legislation which in some manner would take heat off of Putin’s active measures? The food in Moscow can’t be better than the good ol’ U. S.of A.’s food on “The Fourth.”

These are not people who have actually called out actual shenanigans. Quite the contrary! Not before their July 4th, 2018 holiday. Or after.

Gee, and wasn’t it yesterday and Vos announced he was ‘doubling down’ on Impeachment? Hmm.

This gives a detailed breakdown of their “Iowa-style” plan, but changed so that after voting it down twice, the GQP votes in their maps again anyway

What does Iowa have to say about this? They call BS

"Vos’ redistricting bill is “a bad faith effort to distract from his unconstitutional threat to impeach Justice Janet Protasiewicz and omits key fail-safes included in Iowa’s redistricting legislation, allowing Wisconsin legislative Republicans to reject proposed maps and amend them however they wanted,” officials said noting that both Republicans and Democrats in Iowa say Wisconsin Republican’s “Iowa Model” is not even close to the real “Iowa Model”

WI Governor Tony Evers has stated clearly that the GOP’s “non-partisan” redistricting bill is a non-starter.

Power is its own reward. They crave the power and will do anything they deem necessary to reap the reward.

Doesn’t it ever get tiring for Wisconsin voters?

It is, which is why they are consistently voting in Democrats and Democrat-aligned candidates (such as Justice Protasiewicz) in all non-gerrymandered state positions.

DO NOT trust these RW creeps in Wisconsin (or anywhere for that matter). There is ALWAYS another scheme brewing. With big money and willing dupes, Wisconsin is a cesspool of ‘victimization’. They no longer believe in the United States or the Constitution.

Schemes are what goobers call “governing for the people”.

A bigger fear is fatigue from having to fight a well funded power elite fighting for their oligarchy.
Judge Protasiewicz is one strong persistent woman.
