Your intermittent briefing on negotiations over the reconciliation bill.
While Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) insists that his chamber will vote on the reconciliation bill by Christmas, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is showing no signs of urgency.
I can’t decide whether he is Forrest Gump or Homer Simpson, but I keep wondering what do you do with the real mediocrities of history like Joe Lieberman, Joe Manchin or Kyrsten Sinema. What search terms do I enter to find extremely average people with no insight who managed to block huge efforts to improve life and government by accidents of birth or geography. Where is my Profiles in Meaningless Egotism.?.
Or maybe Manchin is just capable of quantum superposition of his policy positions, such that his mind is able to occupy two different positions simultaneously. Thus, the time it takes him to choose to espouse one position or the other is instantaneous, making the speed at which he is traveling between positions infinite. As a result, applying the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, his position (not to mention the weight it should be accorded) is inherently unknowable and infinitely uncertain, and as such, entirely arbitrary.
Hmmm…I think I may have just described the physics of doublethink…where my Nobel at?
The US district judge Trevor McFadden said in his ruling that Trump was “wrong on the law” in seeking to block the House Ways and Means Committee from obtaining his tax returns.
McFadden also said it was within the power of the committee’s chairman to publish the returns if he saw fit.

McFadden, a Trump appointee, said the committee would be able to accomplish its stated objective without publishing the returns.
He cautioned the panel’s Democratic chairman, Representative Richard Neal, that while he has the right to do so, “anyone can see that publishing confidential tax information of a political rival is the type of move that will return to plague the inventor”.
In a statement, Neal said the ruling “is no surprise” and that “the law is clearly on the committee’s side”.
Fuck BBB. every day we talk about it is another day republican gerrymandering get more foothold because we are not focused on the most important issue of securing democracy.
Can we just tell Manch he won, he killed BBB in return his vote to get voting rights repaired?
It’s actually the most “affordable” Lamborghini in the range, but that’s something for the supercar demographic to think about more. Whether you stick to the roads in this car, or use the available off-road drive modes and open it up to the wild to see what it’s got, there’s nothing about the performance that will disappoint.
People are done pretending he’s doing this because he’s from a red state, right? We all now understand that this is purely because he’s a corporate owned whore, right?
