We’ve already seen what this looks like in VA, where a Trump rally stopped outside a polling place and started chanting and made people walk around them to get to the polls. People felt intimidated and asked for escorts because of all the yelling…how’s it going to work when these yahoos show up, armed to the teeth, outside minority polling centers across the nation? If you’re a black person, will you have any confidence that they won’t shoot up the place in the hours you have to stand in line?
It’s all about intimidating Americans into not voting in order to keep Republicans in power…the question is if Americans will allow themselves to be scared away, and how much violence will happen. I do think Americans will be pissed off enough in general to stand up to the Trump Stasi, but if even one is scared away it’s bad for our democracy. As to violence…fights, at the very least, will break out…whether a polling place is shot up (and therefore shut down for the day) remains to be seen.
We all need to remember that it’s all about absolute power for the Republicans now, they have no principle except for putting the rest of the nation under their rule. The longer we wait to shut that down, the worse it will be…no matter how uncomfortable they need to be stopped in this election.

anybody showing up as an armed ‘poll watcher’ or anybody trying to intimidate voters or violating distance requirements should be immediately arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
