Wisconsin Tracks Voters With Eye Towards Election-Related Spread

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced Thursday that it has upped its number of contact tracers to interview people infected with coronavirus about who they may have interacted with — connections that are likely to be more numerous after thousands of voters flocked to the polls on Tuesday.

CDC Director Robert Redfield this week for “very aggressive” contact tracing nationwide to flatten the curve of the pandemic.

Really…tell that to the 5-4 Kangaroo Kourt who made Wisconsinians risk their lives to deliver their CONServative malagenda for the Greed-Over-People Party who want to maintain their power, profits and judgeship mill!

And guess who delivered for the GOP Nefarious Agenda…Accused-Rapist-In-Robes Kavbeenaugh!

Kavanaugh wrote for the majority, “Extending the date by which ballots may be cast by voters — not just received by the municipal clerks but cast by voters — for an additional six days after the scheduled election day fundamentally alters the nature of the election.”

Robin Vos (COVIDIOT-WI) will own every death resulting from forcing Wisconsin voters to vote during the Trump Pandemic. Barf Kavanaugh, too…

I think they should designate the Milwaukee voters, which has around 300,000 registered voters and usually has 180 polling locations, as five distinct groups, one for each polling place open that day.

My suggestion is they name* the first group, the Roberts Group (New Grist Gluten-Free Pilsner); the second, the Thomas Group (Old Milwaukee); third, the Alito Group (Miller High Life); forth, the Gorsuch Group (Schlitz Lager); and the fifth, the Kavanaugh Group (Pabst Blue Ribbon or, simply, PBR).

In case you didn’t notice, that last group is, appropriately, the fifth, both in honor of the right to refuse to answer a question in a court hearing and common name given to the standard measure of volume — in reality, 4/5ths of a quart — in a bottle of hard liquor.

*The group nicknames appear in parentheses.

Fun Fact: There were just five polling places open because many sites were consolidated due to a shortage of poll workers, most of whom are often senior citizens, because they were afraid of endangering their health.

And I’m sure the “tracking” will also take note of their political party.

One thing that I haven’t seen in this discussion on TPM, but have seen alleged elsewhere:

Was the power to affect the timing of this election one of the things taken away from the new Democratic Governor by the Republican Legislature, and that’s why he couldn’t do anything sooner?

The statistics on this should be clear, we’ll likely see a bump in cases in WI in two weeks, and every one that comes from a voter is directly due to the Republicans, in WI and on the SC, screwing over the voters in the hopes of retaining power. And, intentionally endangering Democratic voters was their goal, as the voters in the cities were far more likely to run into large crowds. This is something WI voters just cannot forget in November…the Republicans tried to kill them, literally, to keep their power.

A 4/5th of a quart == a 1/5th of a gallon. :wink:

The voters in Wisconsin deserve to have a constant reminder of who it was that put them at risk. I suggest a billboard with the names and faces of the vile creatures that demanded they put their lives and those of their families in danger order to vote.

Any headline that combines “voting” and “tracking” is pure grist for the conspiracy mill, left and right, despite the good intentions.

Well, I’m sure that having government employees check in on voters and who’ve they’ve had contact with will end up being the basis for disingenuous right-wing rumor spreading to help suppress the latino vote in other states.

Also love the that the SC vote to force us little people to vote in person and risk ourselves was done remotely so as to protect the justices from exposer. Sometimes this whole fucking system needs to go.

The Supreme Death Panel calls balls and strikes in a “game” of life and death.

p.s.
I thought hard-core Catholics were “pro-life”- Justices John G. Roberts, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Brett Kavanaugh are all Catholic. Gorsuch was raised Catholic.
