The group of people who submitted fake elector certificates claiming that Donald Trump won Wisconsin in 2020 admitted in a legal settlement announced on Wednesday what’s been clear all along: Trump lost, and the effort was a con.
So they admit they were part of the attempt to overthrow the United States and they are going to . . . .
WHAT??
What is the punishment for participating in this illegal act? No cheese next winter? No time in jail? No fines? Strip them of their voting rights?
How do they get away with this with a wink and a nod?
Yadda Yadda Yadda. This is all well and good, but until people suffer appropriately for their miscreant anti-constitutional behavior (serious fines, loss of job/status/freedom/civil liberties) behavior won’t change and justice will not be truly served. Turn these rogues into penitents, not dodgers & weavers. Otherwise, they turn into the J6 Rioters who beg tearful forgiveness from the judge, get it, and then leave the courthouse screaming “Trump Won Bitches!”
There are laws, but no justice.
This was a civil case. This and money is about all we can expect from a civil case in the way of justice.

Ten Republican fake electors from Wisconsin agreed per the terms of a civil settlement not to serve as presidential electors in next year’s election and to withdraw the elector certificates they submitted.
So, no consequences. So, others should and will do it again at the next opportunity.

Well, here’s the fly in the ointment. They start with the premise the Trumplican Party has a good name. You can’t lose what you never had.

On Jan. 4, one elector complained that “freaking Trump idiots want someone to fly original elector papers to the senate President.” Darryl Carlson, another elector, texted before the fake votes were cast that “They don’t want to have a technicality mess up the possible steal.”
They knew it was bs, but they all wanted to “WIN” regardless. They knew Trump was a loser and a bad leader, yet they were willing to participate in this despicable travesty of a sham.
I’ve been to a County Central Committee, I’ve been to Democratic Club meetings, I know those people in that picture (not literally being from San Diego and all!) and they are fools, grandma’s and Insurance Salesmen and Ace Hardware store owners, who’ve lost themselves and their morality to this way jumped up repulsive teevee personality.
They need to pay a price that brings it home to them. Then maybe they can start working with the Democrats in their state to purge their problems.
