Will We Ever Find Out What Trump Was After With Atlanta U.S. Attorney Shake-Up? | Talking Points Memo

Whatever President Trump thought would happen in the U.S. attorney’s office in Atlanta,  it doesn’t appear he will be getting what he was hoping for.

Another brain melted by a quarter century of Fox News.

“Quite frankly, just watching television you would assume that you got election cases stacked from the floor to the ceiling,” Christine said, according to AJC. “I am so happy to find out that’s not the case, but I didn’t know coming in.”

“Quite frankly, just listening to Trump’s goddamn incessant, pleading phone calls, you would assume that you got election cases stacked from the floor to the ceiling,” Christine said, according to AJC. “I am so happy to find out that’s not the case, but I didn’t know coming in.”

Christine did play coy, however, when he was asked about whether he’d be resigning on Jan. 20.

Biden: Here’s your hat. What’s your hurry?

All we need to know is if trumpen furor wants it it can’t be good for us.

Why Trump intervened to install Christine in the role instead is still a mystery.

What’s the mystery? He wanted a flunky to do his bidding. Everything else is detail.

Yup. And since this Christine indicated that he expected there to be a “dump truck full” of election fraud cases, you can be damned sure he’d drunk the koolaid and went about bragging that if the others didn’t have the stones to do something about the fraud, then, gol durn it, he would!

So, yeah, imagine his surprise when it turned out to be a small inbox instead of a dump truck. And all of the cases in the inbox were Goopers cheating for Hair Furor, not for Joe Biden.

Christine has figured out which way the wind is blowing.

Yeah, bad headline, too. We know why Trump wanted Pak out; Christine tells us: “I expected to find stacks of voter fraud cases…”
Trump wanted Pak to prosecute a bunch of voter fraud cases, but he wasn’t doing it, so he got fired. And the reason was, as Christine tells us, is because there weren’t any.

He certainly told us a lot about his television viewing preferences!

Josh told you on the front page a few days ago.

The USAttorney refused to make up false fraud allegations at Trump behest.

So he was forced out.

Speculation:
Not only did 45 want the fraud allegations substantiated, he wanted Kemp, Raffensperger, and Abrams indicted for voter fraud conspiracy.

All you had to do, Bobby, is stay under the fucking radar for one more week.

Now you’re gonna get canned too.

Yep. He wanted people arrested for something and there was literally nothing for which they could be arrested. It’s like demanding Mike Pence flip the election, something he didn’t have the power to do. He constantly asks people to do things they simply can’t and then gets angry when they explain why they don’t have the power to do it. He really is a toddler.

I don’t think there is much mystery here.

Bobby Christine knows with certainty that will be unemployed effective at noon, January 20. He wants to be employable and get a cushy job at a white shoe law firm. There is zero upside to going down with Trump and becoming unemployable in the process.

My first reaction to his response was “what a smartass!” Another fi tool/fool.

Good Riddance to both Pak & Bobby-McGee-Christine.

Bobby may find out that disbarr is not just a watering hole in Atlanta.

Oh, they have the power to do it all right, just, breaking the law for a lame duck who’s looking at 2021 indictments in 3 different jurisdictions isn’t a good career move.

NO he just wanted to punish PAK who said no no NO.

PUNISHMENT. He already knew there was no ‘there’ to be prosecuted.
