Will The ‘Rigged Election’ Contingent Vote? X-Factor In GA Runoffs

Over a month since Joe Biden was declared President-Elect — since it became clear beyond even a sliver of a doubt that President Donald Trump had fallen many states short of being reelected — a hefty chunk of Americans have simply rejected that reality.

Well, it’s really quite clear that the voters should insert Donald J. Trump’s name onto each ballot instead of Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. That is how they can get their just revenge!! That’ll show 'em!!! Just do it!!!

They will vote in huge numbers. If they win, it will prove beyond a doubt that the Nov. election was flawed, because that’s how you prove things.

I advise them not to participate in a rigged election.

11-3 was a referendum on Trump.

1-5 will be a referendum on McConnell.

I have seen and listened to Abrams and her team. I sincerely hope the Democrats can pull this out. The stakes are simple:

Whether Moscow McConnell remains in a position to torture and kill Americans with his practices of Obstruction

I cannot see how anyone–who stands to GAIN from election to the Senate of Ossoff and Warnock–can remain ignorant of that fact and fail to vote or them

The GOPers, of course, will vote with passion and discipline**, probably in numbers that belie any Rigged Election nonsense. What WE have to do is make our actual need outperform their savage bigotry at the Ballot Box.

**Bigotry and resentment are reliable voting motivators for Republicans.

#1 Donnie, you’ve already been packing the courts with incompetent, right-wing extreme “jurists.” And no, you will no longer be able to pack the courts further, because you LOST the presidency!

So good bye, good riddance, now get out!

I will not, under any circumstances, Pack the Court!

Tell it to AG Garland.

I am more concerned with voters turning out and voting for Warnock and Ossoff than I am about voters not turning out for the Repugs.

That is instead of discussing just the horse race, I’d rather discuss the candidates and the real dynamic of the election pitting a Evangelical Minister and investigative journalist who before entering politics made a career of exposing corruption and war crimes in foreign countries against two totally corrupt and incompetent politicians whose only goal is to enrich themselves.

To be sure, the Minister is Black and the investigative journalist is Jewish whereas their two corrupt and incompetent opponents are White and claiming to be Christians. One set of ads by the corrupt politicians doctors photographs to make his Jewish opponents nose longer and providing additional features associated with the devil. The Minister’s opponent, whose husband literally bought her the seat is running racist ads not seen in Georgia since Lester Maddox. 95% of White Evangelicals are supporting the crooks over the Evangelical Minister and investigative reporter.

By discussing the horse race and the clown show that is Trump’s attempt to if not steal the Presidency to keep control of the Republican Party and use that power to keep himself out of jail, we detract from the issues of those on the ballot, the issues that hopefully will bring out the voters needed to elect Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to the U.S. Senate.

The new (Post Trump) Political Science literature will have copious narratives of items which have nothing to do with “issues”…and that is borne out by this election.

Here we have two criminals who are GOP-talking-points-robots in their presentation, with only tangential interests in aiding the people of Georgis

Here we have two other individuals talking policy

And the former tandem has a great chance of winning ONLY because of Tribalistic dogma

What is a conventional Poilitical Science literature going to look like after the advent of the Post-Gingrich GOP and it’s graduation to Krazy under Donald Trump?

Maybe future Political Scientists need to have double majors in Mob Psychology

Yes.

Next question?

I think it ought to be will the coalition that elected Biden / Harris return to the polls; and as a corollary will the Republicans successfully knee-cap those that intend to do so?

We need to write off the unsalvageable, who’ve proven they’d elect another Hitler as long as he went after the “right people.” Focus instead on the coalition that might save our suddenly perilous democracy.

My son, who is now a PoliSci professor, wrote an undergraduate thesis he titled “Propaganda, Manipulation and Control.” He has continued that interest in his professional career, where one of his research areas is American conservative politics.

You bet your ass they will come out and vote. In DROVES.

They are being whipped up to vote against the “Ni(CLANG!)er” and the “JEW” by their Politicians, Ministers, Co-Workers, and their one true God: Donald J. Trump.

The two things that any Red-Blooded Confederate Shit-Kicker fears more than a Highly Educated Woman.

You can be assured that the racists, and inveterate assholes will come out in droves to vote in Jan.

It’s probbably just more of the presidential election. Things were close enough for a run off and it’ll likely be down to the last precinct on this one as well. Republicans don’t get put off. They’ve had victory after victory lately and it just makes sense that they’d continue to slug away, despite Trump’s loss.

While it’s more likely than not that the Republicans will win, I sure wouldn’t count out the Dems just yet. The thing is that there was a not insignificant crossover vote in GA. I’ve got to imagine that some of those voters don’t take too kindly to their senators trying to disenfranchise their vote for Biden. So, if you were, say, a Biden/Loeffler voter or a Biden/Perdue voter, you might not feel so inclined to go out and vote for either one of them. Also, I imagine that if you waited several hours to vote and now you’re seeing your senators claiming your vote was fraud, you might be inclined to run out and vote them out. I think it’s pretty well impossible to predict how the fallout from the election will move voters. It’s just as likely that a bunch of disaffected Trump supporters come out in droves to make their vote count as it is a bunch of angry Biden supporters come out in strong numbers to punish their senators for trying to make their vote not count. I’m just not giving up hope. Maybe 2021 is the anti-2020 and good shit starts happening right out of the gate.

That’s a good point, but I wonder how much whipping Trump is going to do after the EC meets and after SCOTUS gives him the heave-ho. Because if he really does intend to head back to Mar A Lago and quit the presidency, he may care even less about promoting Loeffler and Perdue.
