For the truly obsessed, a new filing from Special Counsel Jack Smith Monday shows the lengths Trump is going to impede and delay his prosecution in the Mar-a-Lago case – but it also shows Smith fiercely fighting each attempt by Trump to buy a few more days or weeks. This will be a battle of attrition, with Judge Cannon clearly a big obstacle for Smith.
Well then, i suggest we simply delay the election until T rumpp’s alleged crimes have been dealt with in Court. Justice for someone who literally tried to break America clearly is more important than accommodating that person’s narcassistic whims of victimhood.

In fairness to Wagner, she is from Missouri. Not only are they the show me state, but they seem to be a hotbed of MAGA madness. I think that puts her family squarely in a spot we’re someone really can “show her.”
It’s a pretty limited gag order. It doesn’t prevent Trump from campaigning or from criticizing Joe Biden
It seems Trump’s initial attempt to get around the gag order is to shout at full volume words to the effect that Biden is working through the DOJ to prosecute Trump. Biden, not the justice system, is out to get him. That’s a criticism of Biden, but it is also untrue. When he’s cut off from badmouthing everyone else, he just yells this over and over, louder and louder. Feels like a hole in the gag order.
I think this is a good and useful framing. I think it’s also a worth keeping in mind that we’re already on a path deviating from past trends. According to those trends, McCarthy should have had little trouble wrapping up the Speakership on the first or second ballot. When he did, he should not have had to accede to the Gaetz poison pill. That pill should not have ever been triggered just for shits and giggles. When it was, Scalese should have had little trouble as the next man up–the caucus had spoken.

So called conservatives have zero idea what the word means or what that government philosophy was about in decades past. Small bits made sense to me way back then 40-50 years ago as I was a registered "no party preference from 1968 to 2015 (since switched to democrat). There are no actual conservatives in government these days. It’s either fascism or “normal sanity”.
