I noticed the argument was that if a certain segment of people believe the election wasn’t fair, then sure, toss it, despite the objective evidence that it was, in fact, fair. That’s your denial of reality at the heart of authoritarianism right there.

We ought to be used to it. This is the same basic argument that led us to invade Iraq in 2003.

In my FB group where we basically point and laugh at Qcumber memes, someone posted their new “Trump’s still gonna win” scenario and it was a doozy. It states that Trump is going to declare world martial law, shutdown all the phones, computers, all electronic devices in the world and give a worldwide address in which he tells the other world leaders they are now under the control of the US government. There will be 100s of thousands of arrests worldwide of leaders of other countries in order to enforce American martial law. They really believe this shit.

I thought that was something that only aliens from Outer Space were capable of – maybe the U.S. Space Force is going to pull it off.

The Founding Fathers believed that and that is part of what gave us the electoral college. It is ironic and unfortunate that the electoral college gives more power to the ignorant chunk of the electorate.

Yeah, but “filed too late” is a euphemism for “if you’d won, you would never have filed it to begin with.” Just a shame they can’t say it out loud.

I think at least one judge did point out that certain states where they won had procedures close or identical to the ones they found so obnoxious in states where they lost, but for some reason the campaign wasn’t fighting like a tiger to reverse the results in those states. Still, I have to assume if the judges said the filings were late, they really were late. This whole operation is just as sloppy as it is seditious.
