Why On Earth Are Some MAGA Republicans Wearing AR-15 Pins?

And, able to leap tall lies in a single bound!

But from his public display of insensitivity, he easily hates anyone who doesn’t mind him being offensive.

When Liberals Take Over, Clyde

We’re gonna make him… be informed, for once in his life.
Then, we’re gonna make him, make him, you understand… vote.
AND we’re gonna make it real… real… real… eeeeeeeeeasy.

Why indeed are they wearing those hideous pins? Whatever the reason, it clearly tells us how little they really care for human life. As if we needed more evidence. But it’s a distraction we should ignore as just a juvenile stunt from a leaderless crew of lost souls lurching from one bad idea to another in their quest for relevance.

An “ordinary tourist visit.”
He means it’s okay for a mob to treat his store or his home the same way.
But he doesn’t need to worry & expect either, because he knows the great majority of people, who are actually loyal to their country, aren’t pro-violent crime and pro-sedition the way he is.
He and his kind are free riders on the rest of us wanting to hang onto civilization. Neither he nor any of the rest of us would be able to live in the kind of world he seems to think is okay.

Challenge him and don’t let up on the statement that the pin is pro-murder. Brand it and persevere on it the same way the Fox News types ride something. Make the pro-violent-crime gun goons wear the reputation that goes with the pin.

Same conspiracy theories the right gets into. Look to the far left, find folks discovering sympathies with Alex Jones & Tucker Carlson. These are your healthy-living types, alternative lifestyle types, Green Party, anarcho-socialists. They’re susceptible. Not hugely different from the perversity of much of the European left when it came to Hitler and the Nazis.

I agree. I have a family member (niece) who works on the Hill. She is young and full of hope and wants to do good things. I am terrified that she has to be around these fucking monsters. Fucking terrified.

What good is wearing the pins if nobody knows what they represent? Is it just some inner sanctum secret sign?

“Blueanon” cracks me up. They snidely try to snap back at Dems but it’s really only a lame attempt to both-sides the insanity of the Q/Republican connection. Q is you, MAGAs.

He might be quite happy to settle for a pardon. …bet Pence is the only prospective candidate Trump he would trust to give him one if Pence agreed too.

Gun-store owner, rep. Andrew Clyde, is a member of the tiny pro-lynching caucus. He described the Jan 6 insurrection as a “tourist visit.”

The thing is?

He’s so proud of what he’s done. There is nothing so satisfying to people like him than to ‘trigger’ someone else. Doesn’t matter how heinous the act is, as long as someone ‘gets upset’.

Too bad no one of his ilk points out his palpable fear during the tourist visit he encountered in his workplace some months ago.

Disagree.

They’re not a threat.

They’re a warning.

Big difference.

Why On Earth Are Some MAGA Republicans Wearing AR-15 Pins? ____________ They’re trolling us. That’s all.

The assholes I know who believe they have to open carry are threatened people, but they carry to intimidate, as a threat, or warning. No functional difference.

Some are jonesing to use those guns: some do it as a fashion and political statement and provocation.
But all want you to know they are dangerous, and should therefore be deferred to…

Decent society can push back, but I’m not so sure there’s a will to do so.

It’s the usual RethuglsKKKum phony patriotic performative assholery.

Ah, yes, Tommy’s. I know it well. Bottomless pickle barrel, brisket…good times.
Van Ness looks great with the new bus lanes, stops, and associated art installations. I love the trend toward all the thematic colored illumination at City Hall, Davies, Bill Graham, etc, too. Glad everything worked out for you!

LOLOLOL

“Big difference.” I literally almost fell over in my seat here.

Mess with my country or my home and you won’t get a warning. A little lapel pin is a cheap threat by people who have made a religion and a self-stimulating proxy orgy out of coercive force and the idea that someone needs an “uber” powerful weapon and needs to go around threatening other people.

Jefferson was wrong. What “waters the tree of liberty” is the blood of innocents who never did a damn thing to anyone, or are just doing their sworn duty. All of this stuff we are indulging in as a country is self-stimulating folly.

And we will see the result of it, I suppose. It won’t be freedom.

Taking what could be a peaceful society and turning into a big Prisoner’s Dilemma just builds the prison around everyone. The joke is that the gun gooners think it is making them free.

Want freedom? Do something that helps somebody else who isn’t bothering anyone to live freely. Or let someone who isn’t doing anything that is your business keep on doing it.

The idea that someone has to go threatening other people, either with a beat-down (you know who you are, my fellow citizens who think you have the excuse to do it) or with guns, is so, so stupid. It’s a big show someone can put on in a world that is too dumb to just let someone be and too dumb not to love a narcissistic show.
