Why It Makes No Sense For Gowdy To Join Trump’s Impeachment Defense Team

Well, perhaps it not so odd that these two would find each other at the end. They both have distinctive doos.

So many fashion felonies there I don’t know where to begin.

Trey would be well advised to go on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy rather than take the dumpster fire gig.

Why Gowdy is such an odd choice…

No eff’n way, man. He’s just a normal, everyday kinda guy.

He did find out that fitting his head into Drumpf’s asshole is easier than getting it through the pinhead ring and pays more than being a circus sideshow.

As members of the minority (thank Dog!) they can’t engage in anything full-bore except political masturbation.

What I’m saying is that the GOP wants (and keeps characterizing it as) “fairness” in the sense that they (and Trump) be allowed to put on a “defense” by being fully empowered to do their own counter-investigation as if this is meant to be a process where the political parties square off against one another, each assuming a “side” based on which party has the WH. They want unfettered subpoena and witness power and for Trump to have a right to position attorneys in the room for everything in order to be able to object to every stage of the investigation the Dems are conducting and even attempt to silence testimony in the middle of hearings.

Anything short of that and the GOP will cry bloody murder and claim that the entire process is illegitimate and rigged. Could the House do a full vote and give them limited powers of those kind in an attempt to rein them in? Sure. Would they issue inappropriate subpoenas anyway in order to cause a circus they could point at and yell “See!!! They’re rigging it and won’t let Trump defend himself!!! They’re covering up for Biden’s corruption!!!” anyway? You bet your ass. They cannot be given the inch.

When will TPM and the media start calling the Trump administration and Republicans exactly what they are…they are the Confederacy.

The Republican’s have clearly chosen Putin and Russia over the US by allowing Trump to continue. They are Confederates and welcome Russia’s help to take down the Union by hijacking the US Constitution and by ignoring the laws and rules of governing. The Republican Confederates would rtahter destroy the nation than lose the white nationalism control they’ve had for 25 years.

Full bore political masturbation is all they’ve got from trump on down to Gowdy. That’s it, nothing else left.
Losers!

So if the house does not hold a full vote, they do not have to let the GOP have their “day in court”?

  1. Hypocrisy is a qualification, not a detriment for this job
  2. More charitable - he’s here because he understands and can attempt to poke holes in Congress’ arguments. He’s figuratively and literally the Devil’s advocate.

Apparently it is as obvious to others as it is to me that it is because of his un-paralleled fashion sense
