I wouldn’t be totally shocked they canned him because of his impolite comments about Fox News execs. They will tolerate a lot at Fox News, but not that. I wouldn’t even be totally shocked we learn it was to appease Trump who probably seethed at revealed comments Carlson made about him behind the scenes. Maybe they thought his recent interview of Trump would be an olive branch. Whatever the real reason is, they’ll never admit to it. But I seriously doubt it was the Dominion settlement as much as the collateral damage discovery from it caused Carlson and Fox News execs’ relationships.

Well the timing is perfect, isn’t it? On the other hand, Carlson is smart enough to know how hard it would be to dislodge Trump right now. Maybe he’ll wait and jump in as a white knight to rescue the GOP if Trump stumbles in the primary.

- Mr. Carlson is also facing a lawsuit from a former Fox News producer, Abby Grossberg, who claims that he presided over a misogynistic and discriminatory workplace culture. Ms. Grossberg said in the lawsuit, which was filed in March, that on her first day working for Mr. Carlson, she discovered the work space was decorated with large pictures of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wearing a swimsuit.

My wild speculation is that it probably had to do with the aftermath of the Dominion suit and Tucker not wanting to be dictated to or checked behind by legal. The rest of those schmucks will read whatever they’re told, but Tucker has an arrogance where I think he thinks he’s bigger than Fox.

Quite possibly so, but that lawsuit is also over a month old. Something happened between Friday and today, and it’s not likely that the lawyers just happened to be working on the weekend and discovered something new that they hadn’t seen before that made them have to make the ditch all-of-a-sudden like this.

That said, nobody should think this is a big deal and that FOX will have no trouble finding another Fucker, loudmouthed ignorant racist xenophobic misogynist gay bashing religious bigoted lying hypocrite, to replace Tucker.
