Why A Judge’s Rebuke Of Barr’s Mueller Report Shenanigans Was So Remarkable | Talking Points Memo

I think our institutions are being confronted with extraordinary behaviors for which their reactions are ill-prepared. I just hope they find their footing and that the packing of the courts and executive branch professional-level leadership positions haven’t permanently disabled their ability to react effectively.

THIS offends, a devout Jew and a guy who inspired an attack on a synagogue both wearing skull caps.

Right there in that picture you posted. The low, rounded neckline of the garment is plainly visible under Mittens’ shirt. And I think we should probably not be mocking items of religious clothing worn by many millions of people as an expression of their faith.

I agree - it has caught all of our institutions flat footed and unable to respond very well. It’s getting somewhat better but it’s a far cry from what should be happening - they should have fought back harder and sooner. But institutions are like that - they are usually slow to recognize what is actually happening until it reaches a tipping point and someone tips it all over and I hope Justice Walton has done that.

I wonder if the strong wording is a result of the emergency federal judge’s meeting about Barr last month. Perhaps we will see more of this from other judges.

As the situation unfolded Thursday night, Netanyahu asked his attorney general to “immediately” open a criminal investigation into alleged Lieberman electoral shenanigans a decade ago. Lieberman responded with a press release: seven laughing/crying emojis and not a single word.

Can you imagine Fat Bill doing the same for Fat Donnie?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I stopped thinking he was a boy scout some months ago. Now he’s part of the cover-up.

Which makes him the ideal attorney general for a mobster like donald trump. It’s as if they jointly decided to destroy the Justice Department. I know why trump wants to do that, but I’m not sure about Barr.

If there was a word to walton, I would bet on one of the four prosecutors of the quitolypse. Maybe the one who quit the DoJ altogether.

“…But this was long overdue…”

And it came out of left field. American blacks will save this democracy. They’ve been doing it at the primaries and now from the bench.
We’ve been asking who might stop this slow, maybe inexorable, movement to autocracy.
This judge’s move tells us there’s balm in Gilead.
