White House Tries to Smush Dems' Backbone With Threats of Mass Firings During Gov't Shutdown

He of course is the top honcho of Antifa and his worker bees tried to burn Portland down?

Love the answer ! But what gets me is that a charge of arson would mean that he himself committed the crime , not some kind of conspiracy. I just can’t imagine Soros himself out settling shit on fire ….

I was stationed in Seattle from 1981-1985 when Starbucks was really starting to breakout with retail stores. I recall what a coffee wasteland it was in the U.S. prior. Starbucks made a really good cup of coffee compared to what was generally available at supermarkets and in “diners, drive-ins and dives”. They are terribly over-priced now, but I credit them with kick-starting a coffee revolution in this country. You can actually get a decent cup of coffee at a gas station now.

At that time in Seattle the micro-brewing industry was taking off nationwide also. Fond memories of Red Hook Brewing in Ballard and San Francisco’s Anchor Steam (Steamers!) Brewing.

Maybe, but I think it is more likely that Hegseth wants them close when the government shutdown occurs so that when martial law is declared he can get to any holdouts quickly.

Or a bag of dildos.

IIRC, the wording of the EO includes targeting individuals who are funding terrorist activities. So I guess what Trump is looking for in his fevered imagination, is a donation from Soros to some organization associated with the Black Lives Matter/George Floyd protests, a few of which involved setting cars on fire.

Good luck trying to get that to trial, but this is about intimidation and harassment of Trump’s enemies, not justice.

Yeah, but that approach is just so damn stupid. And of course just highlights what a bunch of amateurish fools there are working in this administration. Donating money to an organization doesn’t make you criminally liable for any actions by individuals who might be associated with that group. But apparently they are going to try and find some ridiculous way of doing so. They are idiots and idiots do idiotic things

I’m not sure America places as high as last with these Klowns. If we do place last with them, it’s only because there is no place lower than last.

Oh noes!!! We just got notice they are closing the Starbucks in our basement.

Seriously, we have 5 within a mile of us, including 3 freestanding shops.

The senior enlisted advisors to ‘wigs were also ordered to the meeting. That’s also unprecedented, and there’s no reason to do it if this is any sort of operational meeting. So I’m pretty sure that this is what is called a “Come to Jesus” meeting. There are rumors of a big reduction in force (RIF) for generals and admirals, and Pete the Dragon is going to explain how the cow ate the cabbage and what the RIF criteria are (and they are going to be primarily political).

Halligan (Fooligan, maybe) is Interim U.S. Attorney for Eastern District of Virginia, not A.G. The A.G. is Pam ‘Dumb’ Blondi.

Here are the exciting things about this:

  1. Halligan is an insurance lawyer. She hasn’t even prosecuted a traffic ticket, much less a prominent case like this.
  2. Her actual prosecutors have noped out of this mess. Hers was the only signature on the indictment. She told the judge (regarding an error in one of the documents) that she wasn’t familiar with its contents. (Apparently she’ll sign anything placed in front of her.) They may make her run the prosecution herself.
  3. Comey has a right to a trial within 30 days of the indictment, and the government isn’t nearly ready to go to trial. Judging from Halligan and Bondi’s public statements on the indictment (we will follow the facts where ever they lead) they don’t even have a theory of the case yet.
  4. IANAL, but the teevee lawyers seem to think Comey has a good chance of getting the indictment dismissed with prejudice on the grounds of selective or vindictive prosecution

Finally, I have a question for Comey: how are you feeling about tilting the 2016 election in the Orange Clown’s favor now, Jimbo? Howzzat workin’ out for ya?

You’re on your own. I’m not going to touch that one.

Sorry, folks, but if this is how the game is going to be played from now on the motherfucking Democrats either start playing hardball too, or just get played over and over and over. No one can be this fucking useless and stupid unless that’s what they’re being instructed to do.

it doesn’t at all occur to you that some people might be very well compensated for taking one for the team? What we’re told and allowed to see is barely the tip of the proverbial iceberg. You cannot possibly believe that you’re getting the whole story.

I guess time will tell, won’t it?

If Comey’s being well-compensated to take this hit for the team, he’ll just plead guilty, right? Or perhaps, put up an ineffective defense resulting in conviction. If he’s being paid-off to take one, he certainly won’t put up a defense that makes TSF’s DOJ look like the fools they are.

“operating off of”? Jeepers Nicole, learn to work a preposition!

Yeah, and? If your elected representative is lying down in the face of a coup, then that representative needs to be removed. Period.

I didn’t say it was a fact. I was pointing out that you don’t know what’s going on. Why he fucked over Hilary in 2016. Whether or not he’s corrupt or just a garden variety imbecile.

Do people really need more information about Trump’s (et al) corruption? By now everyone other than the most drooling, babbling morons of the MAGA goons already know that there has never been as bad, inept, criminal, deluded, senile, evil person in the White House and how he has brought in the most corrupt, greedy, incompetent assholes in this country to aid him in his parody of “running a government” like he “ran a corporation” on TV.

All of this is performative action to placate Trump’s increasing madness. and apparently there is not ONE member of the Republican party who has the balls, the integrity OR the intelligence to stand up to this parade of fools. They would rather see the country turn into Lybia than admit that they have been wrong or that they might lose an election…although they have forgotten what it was they were elected to do anyway…other than enrich themselves with the power that they fooled their followers into giving them.

And I sincerely hope that in the not too distant future I will read that Bondi and all her sycophantic comrades will face the same fate. Bar Assns. in every State removing their law licenses. Let them clean bathrooms in McDonalds for their living.

I think Hakeem Jeffries set the right tone yesterday with his kiss-off to Russell Vought. Glad to see it. NOW, can he keep the Dems in the House from chickening out and letting the Bullies win again!
