I would really like to understand why the assumption is that there is no way to counter republicans’ refusal to hold hearings and a vote on every nominee. Announce a timetable of 30 days to start hearings and 45 days to hold a vote. If the senate abdicates it’s constitutional duty, seat the nominee. Let the senate then file suit and explain their rationale.

Justice Jackson deserves every possible accolade and then some. Our nation will be so much better with her presence on the Supreme Court. Yep. Cheering out of genuine joy and humanity is as far from cheering out of hate as it gets. Saying what’s in your heart is effortless.
