White House Officially Turns Down Invite To Participate In Impeachment Inquiry

Citing House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA), the “fundamental unfairness” of the impeachment hearings and a perceived attempt to ignore “historical precedent,” the White House officially declined the House’s offer to have the President participate in impeachment proceedings this week.

“It is too late to cure the profound procedural deficiencies that have tainted this entire inquiry. Nevertheless, if you are serious about conducting a fair process going forward, and in order to protect the rights and privileges of the President.
Yeah, yeah, we know, he’s allowed to lie and be corrupt, after all he is POTUS.
A good thing the WH won’t participate as all they would do is try to derail the hearings.

Attorney Cipolione sure writes himself a mean “sternly-worded letter”. And he’s coming up to speed with the Sharpie signature, but he’s still a long way from that seat on the SCOTUS.

Well Mr. Cippollone, just what is fundamentally unfair about the U.S. constitution? You keep insisting that your client is being treated unfairly, but you never explain how.

The process is clearly written into the constitution, maybe the problem is with the constitution and not the process. I hear in Russia they don’t have this problem.

So either we become like Russia, or maybe you move there.

I still wonder how WH occupants not actually suffering from clinical hallucinations think this ends–other than in a stolen election and a final confirmation of Donald as King. Absent that, a whole bunch of these motherfuckers are going to jail.

OK, then don’t bitch about not being able to participate!

Mitch McConnell is a prime object of these maneuvers. Trump wants to put him in a position to largely dismiss the articles of impeachment voted out of the House as being tainted with unfairness and lacking objectivity. Flawed indictments. Put Mitch in the position to rush through an abbreviated trial and declare Trump innocent in time for the heat of the 2020 campaign, while maligning Democrats.

The offer has been extended to you twice now. Once they start moving forward again, no backsies.

Are they all signing with Sharpies now?

If I had a penny for each time this Master Criminal has hidden behind some shyster’s “sternly worded letter”, I could retire the current National Debt and repay all Federal student loans to date.

At some point, the frequency and free-wheeling exaggerations of these letters become, in themselves, as criminal in intent as their flowery nature connotes rank deception.

From cnn.com
(CNN)Democrats pivot from investigating President Donald Trump to beginning their prosecution of him this week in the most significant and historic development yet in a fast-moving impeachment battle.

The rising stakes come as Republicans on Sunday launched a new offensive to destroy the legitimacy of the Democratic process by claiming that Trump’s enemies are rushing the somber business of making him the third impeached President in order to dodge a voter backlash.

Destroy the democratic process…
Yikes! cnn is getting nasty.

I don’t see where this is being rushed at all. To me it is as slow but as deliberate as the movement in a glacier.
Inevitable… but slow.

Nicely put. And here I was just thinking of it as bullshit legalese…

The White House Counsel’s key demand is to call Devin Nunes as a witness. Really all you need to know. They want their favorite sock puppet because they can’t make a factual case for any kind of innocence to be found in this nest of vipers.

trump is a walking perjury charge. Of course the mouthpieces don’t want him anywhere near a deposition.

Run for office. Register people to vote. Get to the polls. Take our country back.

Yesterday I opened a campaign letter from democrat Mark Kelly who is running against Martha McSally here in AZ. He signed the letter (after asking for a donation) with a goddamned sharpie.
Jeebus be praised…sharpies are everywhere.

But I would love to see Devin stammering and sweating under cross examination. Maybe even crying.

I’d have said that this was the most unprofessional letter I’ve seen a lawyer sign off on, except that this isn’t quite up to the level of the first letter they sent over.
