Is Cipollone acting as the lawyer for Russia’s Agent Orange, or the Office of the Presidency? I think we now know (A.)

Epic mansplaining. I’m sure Pelosi will be grateful for the pro tips on House rules.

I think it is past time for the House to stop giving Trump any more time and attention, and just go to Court for an expedited hearing to force him to cooperate.

Why is the White House counsel sending letters to Congress on behalf of Trump??? Cipollone doe not represent the President

“White House Launches Full Frontal Assault On Impeachment Process.”

Well, if there’s anybody who knows about “full frontal assaults”, it’s definitely Donald.

The thing is…it’s not just The House who respects the Rule of Law.

It’s the most of us.

United States v. Nixon was a unanimous decision. Guess it’s about time to find out how the currently constituted court will acquit itself.

Well, ya know that the Corrupt Justice Department is gonna back him on this one, particularly if it gets all the way up to the Supreme Court. After all, Second Amendment! It negates all the rest of the Constitution!

HAHAHAHAHA!! That President, what a kidder! Maybe he can jokingly tweet 2nd Amendment solutions too.

Is Lindsey Graham going to get the same letter regarding Giuliani?

Just on the initial scan… That’s some of the least lawyer-speak I’ve ever seen. Jesus.

Article I, Sec 2: “The House of Representatives shall choose their speaker and other officers; and shall have the sole power of impeachment.”

Article I, Sec 5: “Each House may determine the rules of its proceedings…”

Edited to add: Mr. Cipillone’s due process arguments clearly confuse (no doubt deliberately) the House impeachment process, which is more akin to a grand jury proceeding, with the Senate trial on the articles of impeachment. No one gets to call witnesses in opposition to a grand jury proceeding. It’s one sided, just like impeachment is one sided. The trial is where you get your due process.

Further edited after reading the Hastings v. United States case Cipillone cites for this idea of due process. That case was not based upon the House procedure, but the Senate procedure at trial, which the court found improper because Judge Hastings was tried by less than the full Senate. It does not stand for the proposition that subjects of impeachment are entitled to additional due process in the House.

Patience, Padawan. They’re not back in session until next Tuesday. I expect there will be movement rather quickly after that.

But hell, it’s still a week away, who knows what we’re going to see happen in that time (nuking Iran? Tune in Friday to find out!)

Dear Attorney Cipolione: I hope you are disbarred. Your client is the White House, not its fat orange criminal resident. You need to follow and respect the Constitution as well as your oath to it.
