The Squad wanted a lot more and didn’t want to accept the crap changes the Goppers got into the bill. And they knew it would both pass without their votes and they would not have to bail out Biden and Schumer and Jeffries at the expense of their values and progressive platform.
The problem is that where ever one goes in the US there is someone badmouthing the President publicly and frequently. And I’m talking everywhere, even in highly Democrat districts. It a sign that the right in this country has taken over a lot of the public space mindshare to such an extent that everywhere one turns there is some negative propaganda being handed out about the state of the country itself.

More of this, please. This is real. It’s a bill passed by a party which at least tries, however imperfectly, to solve problems. It is furthering the goals of the nation by helping to fight climate change, create jobs and invest in a future we can prosper from together.
It is an easy contrast between this and whatever it is the Republicans are doing. Feel free to continue this type of messaging for the next 18 months.

IIRC, those six voted no in protest of decoupling the infrastructure bill from the Build Back Better Act. Had their votes been needed they’d have voted yes.
