White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday defended the use of chemical agents and projectiles used by law enforcement officials to clear crowds of racial justice demonstrators in Lafayette Square on Monday — a move that was widely criticized as an excessive use of force on a peaceful protest.
"I get to stand up here and spew fascist Orwellian doublespeak from the White House press podium for a man who would have been fired from any other job in America years ago.
"You think any other president would do anything with my resume except set it on fire and throw the ashes into a dumpster? I’ll never have this opportunity again.
"So when I am asked to turn my back on my Harvard law degree and shill for Donald Trump as if I believe a single thing he has ever said …
When do these people finally just break down and start asking her shit like 'You expect us to believe that nonsense?" and “Are you retarded?”??? Journalistic integrity be damned. The moment she said “Churchill moment” someone should have thrown a shoe at her.
They are really pitiful. They think this is a prime time network TV show and that we are all stupid. She looks like someone sliced off a piece of KellyAnn and put a dress on her.
[“Among the crowds that day were families and children, rushing from the scene to make way for a moment that McEnany declared will be Trump’s very own “Churchill” moment — holding a Bible in front of a church at a time of national distress — much like a wartime president who assessed damage after World War II.”]

What a colossal insult to Churchill! . . . . and for that matter, an insult to everyone who served in WWII.
This is infuriating. To the extent that that statement is true, it’s true only because the combination of Trump’s insistence on a photo-op in front of St. John’s, his desire to project power, and his cowardice made the police’s actions inevitable. But to pretend that all of this was fated long before the cosmos was formed is insulting in the utmost.
