CBS’ “60 Minutes” obtained a letter from the whistleblower’s lead attorney outlining concerns about his client’s “personal safety,” the program reported Sunday night.
Whistleblower’s Attorney Reached Out To Maguire Over Fear For Client’s Safety
I guess they have to do it as a formality, but I would not trust anyone’s safety to Admiral Maguire who has proven to have the spine of a jellyfish he would turn the whistleblower to Putin’s assassins and justify the whole thing on Executive Privilege (nowhere in the constitution, even as a concept)
Your Highness, you have Pops, RBG, and all Obamas status with me. That means that if you need me to personally protect you, or you need a kidney, a liver, a heart, an eye, I got you. I’m here for you and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.
Just a guess, but is it possible the lawyer disputed 60 Minutes and accused them of “completely misinterpreting” the letter because reporting he was in “US Federal Witness Protection” was a little too much information that would just make it easier for the president to find out who and where he is?
With that program being operated by the US Marshals Service under DoJ, it sounds like his identity could easily be determined by the expert bureaucrat in charge, especially one as wily as Barr following the direct orders of his boss.
The biggest concern here is going to be those web vigilantes and doxxing, if they find out who it is they’ll probably be ordering pizzas and SWAT teams to his home address in no time.
And all encouraged by the President.
It’s possible that their implication that he’s receiving active security is incorrect, that it’s more targetting things like the above, to ensure that he doesn’t get doxxed, or if someone attempts it, that the Police know not to respond.
Schiff (and various other Dems) should never have spoken publicly about “hearing from the whistle blower” about his complaint. The complaint itself should have been sufficient.
But now Schiff has allowed the whole thing to become about the credibility of the whistle blower, rather than about the credibility of the complaint itself.
The ineptitude of Democratic messaging knows no bounds. The pefidy of Trump and his supporters should be a given – and someone like Schiff should have been well aware that the whistle blower would be attacked by Trump. By making “talking to the whistle blower” a priority, the Dems have made the situation far worse for the whistle blower.
The WB complaint should have been the only issue. One reason why the WB law exists is to make it possible to raise issues anonymously to make retaliation impossible.
Trump and his minions are the threat. Schiff and the Dems have made that threat much more real. I’m sorry if you don’t like the truth, but there it is.
