Whistleblower Reached Out To House Intel Committee Before Intel IG | Talking Points Memo

The House Intelligence Committee and its chairman, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) got word of a whistleblower complaint concerning President Donald Trump before the Intelligence Community’s inspector general formally made the committee aware of it, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Of course the Mango Menace will spin this as some sort of vindication.

The whistleblower is a national hero or heroine. His or her birthday should be a federal holiday.

Telling the whistleblower to get a lawyer is the exact proper thing to have done.

Whose hand is reaching in to grab Schiff?

Fooliani?

Pompeo?

Barr?

The Grabber in Chief??

Yep… this is going to be framed (no pun intended) as a setup engineered by Rep. Schiff working hand-in-hand with the whistleblower.

Whoa there… It could be John Bolton for all we know… Whoever it is likely is a mixed bag.

tRump is on TV melting down alongside the President of Finland demanding that reporters ask a question of that guy and leave tRump alone.

He’s angrier than a baby whose rattle has been taken away.

You just know that somehow Judge Crater has a hand in all this.

Welp, there you have it. This will 100% prove the conspiracy and set-up for the Faux News crowd.

ETA: In fact…

Nevermind that Schiff “knew days before” and still said nothing until the process was followed and played itself out the way it did.

Is it just me or, reading the NYT as I have been doing for the last several days, has anyone ELSE noticed a distinct shift in their coverage of this in the NEWS sections (not the Opinion Pages) that looks suspiciously like a stealth campaign to undermine the veracity of the “Whistlblower” and cast doubt on the work of the House Intelligence Committee?

The WaPo on the other hand is “all hands on deck” pursuing these stories in the NEWS section, while their Opinion Pages is filled with hand-wringing by the usual Conservative Cuckolds and Blathering Banalities by the Senior Pundits.

Just say’in.

The whole cabal.

And it is all hot air. Still, it must take a lot of mental effort not to let so many powerful people calling you names 24/7 (and no doubt so many Fox News zombie followers calling your office 24/7) get to you.

The WB approached the Intel Committee and the IC steered her/him to follow the correct procedures.

Can you imagine if this had been a D president and the WB had approached Meadows or Jordan?

This seems of sufficient importance that Schiff would know to get out in front of it, days ago, and volunteer all this publicly, before a news organization beat him to the reveal. No?

Leaving aside the fact, of course, that speaking to one’s Congresscritter is entirely legal…

My only complaint is you misspelled the current AG’s name: it is DISBARR as that should soon happen.

But I wonder if this is how the complaint got leaked. That is the Whitehouse was doing everything possible to keep the complaint “locked down”, might it have been that expecting the complaint to come their way, when the complaint did not make its way to Congress, did a staff or other person expecting the complaint leak its existence.

And since Barr buries wb complaints like dogs bury bones, this headsup was a great idea.

Yup. Think they’re being fed a line.

This really is a nonstory, not even printworthy.
