The House Intelligence Committee and its chairman, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) got word of a whistleblower complaint concerning President Donald Trump before the Intelligence Community’s inspector general formally made the committee aware of it, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
Is it just me or, reading the NYT as I have been doing for the last several days, has anyone ELSE noticed a distinct shift in their coverage of this in the NEWS sections (not the Opinion Pages) that looks suspiciously like a stealth campaign to undermine the veracity of the “Whistlblower” and cast doubt on the work of the House Intelligence Committee?
The WaPo on the other hand is “all hands on deck” pursuing these stories in the NEWS section, while their Opinion Pages is filled with hand-wringing by the usual Conservative Cuckolds and Blathering Banalities by the Senior Pundits.
And it is all hot air. Still, it must take a lot of mental effort not to let so many powerful people calling you names 24/7 (and no doubt so many Fox News zombie followers calling your office 24/7) get to you.
This seems of sufficient importance that Schiff would know to get out in front of it, days ago, and volunteer all this publicly, before a news organization beat him to the reveal. No?
My only complaint is you misspelled the current AG’s name: it is DISBARR as that should soon happen.
But I wonder if this is how the complaint got leaked. That is the Whitehouse was doing everything possible to keep the complaint “locked down”, might it have been that expecting the complaint to come their way, when the complaint did not make its way to Congress, did a staff or other person expecting the complaint leak its existence.
