The potentially incendiary whistleblower complaint that reportedly involves President Trump, also at least partially centers on Ukraine, the Washington Post and the New York Times reported Thursday evening.

Drip. Drip. Drip. As NCSteve said two days ago this is Washington. It will leak.

I am copying this over from where I originally posted it -

Totally off topic, but since I can’t comment on the editor’s blog, and I am bursting, I just watched all of Josh’s clips from the Giuliani interview on CNN, and that is maybe the closest thing to a complete mental breakdown I have ever witnessed on television. It was evil, shocking, venal and pathetic - all at the same time.

So, basically the average Giuliani appearance.

Will Treason be enough to get Nancy off her butt and call for impeachment? 50/50 chance.

CNN sub-headline on this story right now:

Risks facing the President, the intelligence community and Democrats in Congress are climbing by the day

They’re gonna both-sides this?! It then goes on to say that there’s a possibility the whistleblower “over-reached” and

If a president cannot trust his own spies, and thinks they are working against him and not the country’s enemies, then America’s national security will be harmed.

Fuck CNN so hard. We’re doomed if this is how one of the biggest news agencies approaches this.

It’s rather annoying that they’re doing it that way. Seems pretty clear that they have the sources with complete knowledge, and likely the entire story in hand already. Drawing it out for a week or two just to get extra “breaking” storylines…

Give the dude a break, he is 190 years old, this was an above average melt down.

“While the contents of the complaint is still largely shrouded in mystery, because Trump, AG Barr, and the DNI are illegally withholding it from Congress in an obvious desperate cover-up, multiple reports indicate that the complaint focuses on President Trump …”

Fixed.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff threatened after the briefing to take the matter to court in order to access the contents of the complaint

What’s the delay? If the issue is so urgent, you should have sued the moment the adminstration missed the deadline.

Favorite part: “It’s a ridiculous allegation. Of course I did it.”

So we know that the whistleblower is an intelligence person who worked at the whitehouse.

September 9th, Atkinson sends the notice about the IG report to Congress.

There’s an argument of some time between Bolton and Trump sometime on the evening of September 9th, and Bolton is fired/resigned by the morning of September 10th.

Coincidence?

Yep, the whistleblower was totes wrong! The President has utmost power to blackmail a foreign country into meddling in our 2020 election in his favor!

Obviously those House Dems totally overreached

Fuck CNN is right

I thought this tweet from Laura Rozen was quite interesting:
“ wow. was thinking about the date of Trump call w Zelensky,

July 25.

wondering when Mueller testimony was:

July 24.

Trump felt liberated”

It was so good the first time he couldn’t wait to do a replay—both obstruction and collusion right in front of our eyes.

I keep thinking of this joke I heard from a friend of my father’s years and years ago. (I think I may have told it before in this forum but I seem to have reached the age where I have permission to tell the same stories again and again.) So a woman’s phone ring, she answers it and she hears, “Hello Myrtle? I want to do this to you and I want to do that to you!” She slams down the receiver, “Creep!”. Next night it’s the same thing: “Hello Myrtle? I want to do this to you and I want to do that to you.” She hangs up the phone and calls the police who put a tracer on her phone. Next night she gets the call again, “Hello Myrtle? I want to do this to you and I want to do that to you.” But now the police are on it. They trace the phone, arrest the guy and bring him down to the police station, and read him his rights. “And of course you have the right to one phone call.” The guy dials the phone, “Hello Myrtle?..”

It’s Trump!

Bolton walked out of the WH with the transcript of the phone call and documents showing other wrongdoing hidden in his mustache.

Yeah, I watched it over at Mediaite early this morning. They have it broken down into 4 video clips:

I was not sure Ukraine was what the whistleblower bombshell was about at first, but I knew that if Biden was the candidate, this Hunter/ Ukraine - China/ Hunter/hedge fund stuff would resurface.
There was not a lot to Hillary’s email scandal…that didn’t stop it from hurting her.
I sure hope Biden is up to the task of explaining this stuff away without stumbling.
