It is so nice to see Nicole and the Evening Briefing over here in the unruly section of the site. She often has good insights and interesting takes on the news that beg comments and now we canz comments! Huzzah!!! And there was much rejoicing.

Might be true, but I don’t think there’s any chance he would prevent Biden from being the candidate.
Now, Manchin, on the other hand, running as in Independent might just be enough to get Trump re-elected. I suppose it’s possible Manchin could get some Republican protest votes, but the GOP tendency is far too strong to let them not vote for the “true” GOP candidate if they have one AND if they are going to vote.
RFK Jr. is the type of candidate who makes me consider the ugly and self-sabotaging practice of ideological purges. Or at least finding some way to de program every primary voter who supports him.

RFK Jr. is clearly a troubled man to the outside observer, and potentially suffers from some form and degree of mental illness. To that extent, it is grotesque that he is being used by the right wing for political purposes. It is a form of abuse all too typical for self-centered right wing, power hungry politicians.
