Where’s Mick? The COS’ Duck-And-Cover Response To Impeachment

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney has been notably absent from TV screens and reports in these early days of impeachment, seemingly hiding out to survive the President’s mood swings.

I don’t know where he is but I know where he can go.

He’s too busy doing a full court press on getting Howdy Trey(tor) Gowdy on board to steam Donnie Moscow’s pants this week.

Oh, goody, Ghouliani and Jared are taking an active role in impeachment response – Ghouliani is wacko and Jared was the one who convinced Spankee that firing Comey was going to be a winning strategy.

Think we’re in for a wild ride. :smirk:

OT but not surprising:

With Team tRump doing such a splendid job, why would they need one more acting actor to add to the mix?
And, speaking of hiding, pretty sure there’s not a rock large enough to take on Barr and his bagpipes.

due to the impossibility of Trump managing to get another chief of staff, Energy Secretary, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense…

Because people know better by now.

I mean, just think of it, Mulvaney is Trump’s “Acting White House chief of staff”. Trump can’t even fill this position permanently, so Mulvaney is just the “Acting CoS”!

A true metaphor for the floating shell game that is the Trump White House. I keep having to pinch myself almost three years in that America has elected such a fetid Damon Runton-esque character as POTUS!

A more salient question is, what is Mulvaney’s knowledge of recent events regarding Ukraine?

Maybe he’s laying low so as to not be asked difficult questions about that.

Anybody know whether and how Mulvaney’s job might intersect with what’s been going on?

Gowdy is figuratively climbing OUT of the lifeboat and back ON to the Titanic AFTER it’s hit the iceberg!

“White House aides say that Mulvaney’s job is still likely safe, due to the impossibility of Trump managing to get another chief of staff on board amid the current turbulence.”

Sort of like the board of directors for J.C. Penney trying to hire a new CEO.

Gowdy never was the sharpest tool in the shed. Now he’s demonstrating that, as tools go, he’s definitely one of the dullest…

Trump should be held accountable for this. In most civilized countries he’d be a war criminal.

Damnit. I’ve got to stop reading this stuff before my first cup of coffee. This all just makes me sick.
