Trump is losing our biggest and deepest arguments
ETA: âlosing an argumentâ is a somewhat better way to express what is happening but the notion that the nation is âturning againstâ Trump mistakes a token for the fact: Trump is a (mostly) empty container, a boil filled with the nationâs pus; turning against is a lancing, a turn toward healing.
AwwwwwâŚheâs just kidding. Most beautiful, perfect comedy ever.
Trump never wanted testing. In the beginning, the administration stymied it in every way they could and now theyâre returning to those tactics. He really thinks he can pull one over and coast to a win in November. 2,350,000 cases in the US with over 120,000 dead and the wind at the back of that number. Heâs insane.
And thanks for covering the story Josh Kovensky. Great reporting.
Trump will tell you what you want, so shut up and take it.
If you want to know whatâs really happening, just look at Trump whining at every public appearance about how testing makes him look bad. Makes me suspicious of this regimeâs claim weâre moving into a wonderful new and much larger system. Smell test on that one.
What âlocalsâ want has nothing to do with it. Unfortunately.
Trump and his little hands!
What? I though life was not the most important thing? Dan Patrick should set the example and die for the good of the state rich people economyâŚ
They have four months to go. And they have not secured their place yet. Everything that is happening is built on shoving it all in before the election, having the optics set up so they can claim whatever nonsense they want to. Not even sure it isnât a rush to beat a president that shows a rapid decline in both competency and emotional control.
If they were a home contractor, I would expect bowed walls, missed nailing and sandy foundations. At this point, it looks like it is going to collapse around them despite what it seems.
Testing is a way out of this mess, we donât have a handle on the percentage of the population who has it, where it is going, what happens after someone gets it.
Testing before, during and after will provide valuable information that will help us track and eliminate the problem. We are in a reactive posture regarding this thing, and thatâs no way to fight a battle.
One major problem is contact tracing, this runs afoul of privacy issues, itâs easy to do in authoritarian regimes, not so easy in a free society. Aggressive testing would help alleviate some of these concerns.
MSMBC reporting it will be shut down June 30
Texas be damned
Once again, we need a macro that generates the headline, Trump Admin Says, Contradicted by Facts.
NY, NJ, and Conn have just ordered visitors from a number of southern states, including Texas, to quarantine for 14 days or face some fines bigly.
So there.
No one knows how talented he is.
Dr. Shah was joined in his demand by City of Houston Public Health Authority Dr. David Persse,
âShah? Sounds Ay-rab to me. Persse? Isnât that just some kind of Persse-ian code? This is all an Iranian plot to make me look bad!â
Back to serious - has anyone looked at the governmental representation of these locales? Is this a way to shift off and say, âItâs the Dems who are killing you!â
I fear that testing without contact tracing and isolation/quarantine will not do enough.
So, he was kidding when he said he doesnât kid?
âThere you are. Two sides to every story. Back to you, Darton.â
No kidding
