Sunday night’s Democratic primary debate offers the first face-to-face discussion between former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) since Super Tuesday, when Biden changed the course of the race with a string of commanding victories.
Democrats and like minded people of all stripes are voting for you. Sanders is fighting an uphill battle and he is an aggressive person. Use that to your advantage.
I’m not watching at all and, with both candidates at or past the age of 70, they are both at risk for exposure even with the limited activity. Joe is sort of local, but Bernie may not be (if he went home or anywhere else during the last week).
None of this is necessary. None of it. If we can cancel sporting events, then this should be cancelled as well. Hell, we’re even postponing primaries, for G’d’s sake…This is irresponsible on all parts.
Neither am I. If these two old fossils get into a slap fight or arguing about which one’s back pain is the best weather predictor, I’ll learn soon enough.
Since I’m grounded (e.g., social distancing) and not traveling, I could watch it, but I’d be more likely to find the live blog here and see what comes of it.
So then, unless he took his own personal car from Vermont to DC, he was probably exposed sometime in the last day or so.
Wonderful.
I’d be happier if they were both isolated in comfortable remote locations from the site and were on camera. That would be one more responsible act they could do to encourage people to just stay home.
Of course they are. Honestly, age isn’t a factor at this point because they’re all within a couple of each other.
But they shouldn’t, none of them, put themselves in harm’s way when they all three are part of the at-risk population. Just irresponsible. They could very easily, if infected, not make it and then where would we be?
As big of a political junkie as I am, I can’t get excited for this. Mostly because the clear and present danger posed by the Coronavirus and the terrifyingly incompetent leadership we’re currently saddled with and dependent upon for our safety. But also because it feels very anti-climactic. Sorry, Bernie. But it’s over. I hope Bernie will take the opportunity to build Joe up and prod him gently to his views rather than tear him down wholesale. I don’t expect he’d do that.
He still thinks he can win FL, though none of the numbers are drifting in his direction. So it’s not going to be over until he says it’s over.
I’ve seen memes on SM this weekend where his supporters still think it’s highly possible that Bernie can win the delegate count. That’s the only thing keeping the campaign alive.
Now that LA and GA have postponed their primaries, there’s no doubt in my mind that Bernie will stay in it until all are completed.
Bernie or Biden… at this point, I just want a president who knows what he is doing in ordinary situations and in crisis/extraordinary situation(s)!
Despite the pandemic, I wish the Presidential Election is happening NOW! November will be too late for those that will die from the INCOMPETENCE, SELFISHNESS and GREED of the Trump Regime and unintended consequences of Covid-19!
