I’m sure the decision to demolish Roe will be timely released just as the Jan. 6th hearing are underway. It will wipe the hearings off the news and front page instantly and it will be as if they never happened. Hope I’m wrong but it’s something my intuition has been telling me.

I hope you’re wrong too!

If the draft opinion changes, and there is any ambiguity about the viability of Roe, then there may be ambiguity about whether the triggers have, in fact, been triggered.

Sounds like a potential avenue to challenge each law - challenge that the ‘trigger’ has been triggered.

I don’t have much hope any will be successful (as the state can just pass another law saying “Yes, abortion is banned”), but the point is to make it as difficult and legally drawn out for them.

Actually makes some sense…. Distraction is the name of the game.

Could happen. I know Democrats can walk and chew gum at the same time. I’m not so sure about media. Maybe they’ll surprise me.

Let’s take bets. I’ll bet on Roe getting the boot and Red States outlawing abortion. So far a sure thing. Blue and swing states will keep abortion legal. If you need an abortion you’ll go to a Blue State and not be regained in by Red State laws. The loss of abortion in Red States will make other women’s heath services go as well. Like taking “made in China” out of Walmart. Their biz relies on that sector as a pillar. So down it ALL goes.

Axing Roe will feed the beast. We ain’t seen nothing yet.

This is not directed at you, sir, but fuck Tom Tomorrow and fuck his unrepentant support for Ralph Nader. Even Michael Moore, asshat he is, had the sense to note “Wait! We’ve made a terrible mistake!” Not Tom Tomorrow, who was still peddling the absurd lie “there is no difference between Al Gore and George W. Bush,” as if Al Gore would have chosen John Roberts and Sam Alito for the Supreme Court. It was clowns like Tom Tomorrow who helped bring us to this situation to begin with.
