Have you shown up to vote only to encounter a team of armed men acting like law enforcement? Now there’s a resource for you.

I think I stopped playing “army” in 1st grade
Get to high ground and provide overwatch? /s
I don’t think I’ll see any at the drop box tbh.
In most states obstructing a person from going about lawful activity is a crime. It’s considered an assault. If you are obstructed try 911 and make sure those that are blocking you know that you’ve done that. These assholes dress up tough buy they are not tough. The glue that bonds them is provincial ignorance.
You cannot be stopped from voting.
Readers of TPM are mostly if not entirely not the ones who have to worry about masked armed men at their polling stations. Trump was very clear about that: “South Philadelphia”. Poor and working class Blacks and Latinos will the the targets, and my guess is that they’re mostly not TPM members.
If you find militiamen at your polling station, whatever you do don’t call the police, because if you do the militiamen will walk over to you and ask “What can I do for you?”
Call the cops and tell the toy soldier to back off. The police have a sworn duty to stop harassment and assault.
you rang?
I was born in Philly. Those guys would have to be tougher than they pretend to be to intimidate the people they want to there. And I’m not talking about the street guys either. I’m talking about church ladies five feet tall who run the polls. They fear nothing and nobody. Any one of them could beat three of those clowns bloody with her umbrella.
Sorry @mondfledermaus don’t know why it linked to your comment.
Thanks for this.
I’m gonna vote anyway and see if they shoot me.
Remember when F*ck Noise frantically aired video of a black panther member standing near a polling place in a predominantly black Philadelphia neighborhood? Apparently, the BP member was scaring voters to select Obama on their anonymous ballots.
I’m NRA but I think Dems and liberals ought to start threatening and demonstrating 'second amendment " solutions. I wonder how those outta shape-open carry-to cover-their-erectile dysfunction-and-under-sized-junk morons respond? I’ll bet it won’t be bravely
Saw that and almost at once envisioned them taking over the township clerk’s office to “ensure” a “correct” count of votes.
Pre-emptive measures? Announce that anyone arrested for this activity will be processed by Friend of the Court for child support delinquencies.
What you do is vote.
there probably pretty much like Mangalores, take out the loudest mouth and the rest will just stand there stunned. lol
What To Do If You Encounter Armed Militias At Your Polling Place
Laugh and point? Do a compensation dance? Ask them where the white wimmin is at?
First, demand their identification. But DO go ahead and call the police and tell them you are being harassed and obstructed from voting. Swear out a complaint if you have to. And if any of these toy soldiers touch you, charge them with assault.
DEMAND your own rights!
As a long-time near supervoter, I entirely agree with you. Same wonderful absolutely straight pollworkers in my old mill city. I’ve known many for years. When they’re there checking off names on street lists or standing behind the ballot machine, they are all business, our business. Most only give the briefest nod, if that, no chitchat. Still, guys with guns–and these little dudes like big guns–can be scary. I’m white middle class, learned to handle guns at daycamp, worked with police officers and chiefs for years in my job: When I see non-police/military dudes carrying wannabe-automatic long guns, it makes me very very uncomfortable.
Meh…
I’ve seen scarier things that fat armed militia bois. Sadly we will not been seeing these pissants here in Oregon or Washington as we’re all vote by mail.
Be not intimidated and if you think you might be then get the Noonlight app on your phone.
