Alito, has unleashed a re-gerrymandering of the House

If the districts were fine yesterday and fine last year, why must they be changed immediately?

Yesterday’s districts can’t be unconstitutional, because that would make the current government and this ruling illegitimate.

Naw, it’s like when you go to the store, and they have a special with like “1 per customer”. You buy it, go put it in your trunk, go back in the store and you’re an entirely new customer and get to go again.

It’s pretty depressing. I was sort of, kind of, hopeful that the midterms could be at least somewhat of a wave. But now…I don’t think there are enough voters to overcome the structural advantages that the R’s will pick up.

And some things, once lost or damage done, cannot be undone.

Alito may have penned the destruction of the VRA but 5 other justices agreed with him. The Roberts court is racist. There are many more words that could describe it but racist fits.

All of their “reasoning” is ad hoc bullshit and consists of any rationale as long as it gets them what they want and favors their tribe.

If voting has started in any one state, shouldn’t every other state be prohibited from changing theirs until after the election?

Again. How many times will they do this?

A state judge in Austin had scheduled a hearing Thursday on whether to approve The Onion deal with the receiver. But the proceeding fizzled into a status conference because the Texas Third Court of Appeals late Wednesday approved an emergency motion by Jones’ lawyers that temporarily blocked the transfer of any Infowars assets. The judge set another hearing for May 28.
