What Mark Meadows’ Phone Taught Us

It’s been quite a week. On Monday, we began publishing a series of stories based on the 2,319 text messages former President Trump’s last chief of staff, Mark Meadows, provided to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack. “The Meadows Texts” showed the high-level coordination behind the frantic, feverish effort to challenge Trump’s loss in the 2020 election.

We’re drowning in old books. But getting rid of them is heartbreaking.

Well, as good as this effort is, I am not a little disappointed that my Representative, Andy Biggs, is not listed among those who played “leading roles.” He put his heart and soul into this failed venture; and that should count for something. Plus, he didn’t even get the presidential pardon he politely asked for. Is there no justice, I ask you?

I’ve always wondered who ‘they’ is/are?

What is shows is that a large percentage of the GOP does not believe in democracy or the United States of America.

For that they should be indicted.

Kyle baby, who is this “us” you refer to?

And why is anyone in the media paying attention to him?

From the Wikipedia article on Biggs:

In 1993, he won $10 million in the American Family Publishers He appeared in a TV ad with Dick Clark and Ed McMahon to promote the sweepstakes. Enabled by $10 million in sweepstakes winnings, which made him financially independent, Biggs decided to run for office.

He got his “fuck you” money, so he decided to fuck us.

  1. Someone actually wins the AFP sweepstakes?
  2. Why him?

I bet Biggs was mad that he had to pay taxes on his sweepstakes winnings. By law everyone has to pay when they win a lottery or contest over a certain amount, in NY it’s over $600. So it made him resentful and he ran for office.

Yes. This. I plan to leave my rooms full of books to wonderful, one-of-a-kind, Book Barn in Niantic, CT. This place has brought me countless hours of reading pleasure and the thrill of discovery. I hope they make money as they will be getting many of their books back. Children’s Primer collection will go to UCONN.

So, with this in mind, they all stay with me until I leave first.

With all these totally competent  Repubs what type of government were they going to install?
I do not recall anyone stating what form of government we would be honored :fu: to serve.

Right now, all I’ve been taught is that upper echelon assholes have paid zero price for any of this shit and are unlikely to anytime soon.

Oh, and that you can try to overturn a fair and free election and still get re-elected to Congress.

Not. A. Serious. Country.

Truth is, capitalism has taken over government. Guys like Jordan are there because money said so. They work for the money, not the people.
