I think Sciutto should have gone even further than that - and said something like "So its safe for the American people to assume that you are willing to negotiate American jobs away if China agrees to manufacture dirt on Joe Biden? " I mean, really challenge these corrupt hacks.

The answer: an offer was made to return to 2017 levels of tariffs and agricultural purchases as a condition of ending the trade wars.

China like the rest of the world knows trump is weak and they’re not going to take a deal unless it benefits them. They’re not going to investigate Biden or anyone else for trump. Basically though they are stalling with the US while they enter into deals with other countries. By the time a deal is actually made, they won’t need us.
That makes sense, they use the possibility of going back to the US to get a better deal from other countries.
