My prediction - they will just on the verge of getting something done and Trump will get a late night call from Dobbs, Hannity, or the NRA and he will call the whole thing off. A few months will go by and there will be another shooting. Rince and repeat.
Sadly, Trump is probably the only person with enough devotion within the GOP base to make this happen at all. But he’s a coward and won’t.

OT With Trump, he is completely amoral, transactional, selfish to the extreme and lazy. ANYTHING that looks like he is “reaching out” to ANYONE is going to have to be looked at as complete and total bullshit. For this reason, I have been lately focusing on what I call “The Hump”…meaning the point where we are fairly certain that Trump can be removed. It is THAT scenario which has me eagerly looking for his subsequent, self-serving moves
