WH Refused To Make Domestic Terrorism Bigger Priority

The White House has ignored requests from the Department of Homeland Security to make surging domestic terrorism, particularly white nationalism, a greater priority.

Can’t do that as it is the majority of the base…

Of course. Why would the WH fight itself?

That’s bad election strategy, to investigate and jail your core voters.

We need to stop framing these thing as Trump’s doing. It has to be labeled as what it is - the GOP’s true agenda. The GOP establishment is letting Trump do the dirty work and get all the blame. If they were opposed to any of this they would speak up. Think the GOP senators who “secretly dislike Trump” would stay quiet if he proposed something like meaningful gun control legislation? Graham who is the biggest toady of them all shit bricks when Trump talked about pulling out of Syria.

The “in plain sight” Administration:

  • It oppresses the people in plain sight

  • we think of creative ways to phrase this as “normal, both-sides-do-it” politics

I am about tired of it. Most of us are. The “protocol” still treats this toad squatting in the WH as a normal, sane person who is not a criminal.

We continue this at our peril

Why that? Tucker’s just off to the 149th Annual White Supremacist Conference, he’ll be back.

Is he going on the same sort of “vacation” as Judge Jeanine?

Yes, Unser Drumpenfuhrer should be called out for this. Loudly and often. But the bigger villain here, predating our Duce wannabe, is the entire modern radicalized Republican Party. And not merely, or even mostly, for its current enabling of Dear Leader. They have been, at minimum, soft on right wing terrorists for at least a generation, having warm and fuzzy feelings for militias since at least the '90s. When DHS wrote a prescient report on domestic right wing terrorism in 2009, the Republicans went bat shit. Obama, believe it or not, actually apologized, the report was withdrawn, and its principal author soon left DHS. (He’s been a source for multiple stories this week.) Obama is legitimately a good man and his heart is in the right place, but his coddling of Republican sensibilities–right up to getting rolled by Mitch McConnell on Russian tampering with the 2016 election–was disastrous and has ongoing repercussions. And in 2014 and 2016 he allowed right wing extremists, with at least tacit Republican sympathy, to essentially take up arms against the United States with little to no consequences. Although I like Obama personally, I would never accuse him of bringing a knife to a gunfight; he was much more comfortable with a peashooter, and only if he was feeling particularly frisky.

Obama’s skin color limited him in ways not commonly contemplated by a person who is not a POC.

Oh, bullshit.

WH Refused To Make Domestic Terrorism Bigger Priority

To be fair, it’s already one of their highest priorities …

Americans better start to realize a harsh and scary reality:

Not just under Trump, but also under Moscow Mitch McConnell as well as Baby Bush and Cheney, the Republican is basically the resurgence of the Confederacy.

The Republican Party = southern slave state Confederate rebel values, policies, ideals, and beliefs.

The Confederacy never bought into the US Constitution and all the words in the document…

The Confedracy via Scalia on the SCOTUS, erased the words “A well regulated militia”.

The founding fathers and the Union never intended for untrained and unregulated civilians to have guns…never. It was alwas about having well regualted militias to guard against the British ships parked offshore.

The Republicans have turned guns into a right to keep the Union Government in check…the Republicans have made Democracy the enemy when the Founding Father’s defined the enemy as England and other major foreign military forces like Spain and Frnace.

The Republicans = the treasonous Confederacy1

That’s not all he’s done to cut the legs out from under the DHS. There are massive efforts underway by tRump to defang the entire umbrella agency. One has to ask themselves what purpose does it serve, not just in the area of domestic terrorism, to do the kind of neutering tRump insists on in light of our own national security, and who overall does that benefit?

This is also a troubling story that pertains to tRump and DHS:

Why in the fuck would anyone think that’s a good idea? Are we to believe the threat of a dirty bomb is no longer a problem?

Goodness gracious me. Next thing you know, DJR will be ordering WH staff not to respond to congressional subpoenas and the AG will be acting like the ‘resident president’s’ personal lawyer. O wait …

Of course he did. The GOP and Trump KKKult view white nationalist domestic terrorism as part of their political strategy. Every time it happens, they and their propaganda machine get to run around with hair on fire fundraising off complaints of victimhood to the race card, denigrating Dems for “politicizing a tragedy” and riling further white nationalist terrorism with 2nd Amendment nonsense in order to perpetuate the cycle. The very very last thing they want is for an election year to go by without some angry white redneck who flies the Confederate flag from his 1987 F150 blasting a few holes in some brown people or Jews after regurgitating Daily Stormer brain damage on 4chan and Twitter.

THAT is precisely how the media should be talking about this, because it is 100% true.

As white nationalist terrorism rises, with little or no government constraint, eventually someone’s going to want to hit back; there can’t help but be a response from the other side: tit for tat terrorism.

Perhaps the Trumpists are counting on it.
