White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Monday defended President Trump’s now-deleted retweet of a video showing a supporter in Florida chanting “white power.”

When asked whether the President was aware of the supporter yelling “white power” in the video he retweeted, McEnany insisted that he “did not hear that phrase and that portion of the video.”

FFS, it was in the first 8 seconds of the video!

I know Donald doesn’t have much of an attention span, but I thought it was at least 30 seconds long.

Which of course today he is going to say that he did… I don’t know why this people keep trying to spin things for him, he always doubles down.

Hmm. If he was tweeting his “support” why did he delete it? Change of *heart?

*“Heart” is used metaphorically. We all know he doesn’t actually have one.

Because those demonized neo-nazi, fascist, racist, drooling morons definitely need support from the highest levels of government. Poor misunderstood asshole losers.

I’m in favor of demonizing spreaders of bigotry and hate.

Bigotry and hate are demonic.

You can’t demonize spreaders of bigotry and hate because they’re already demonic.

Repost:

Andrew Stroehlein, European media director of Human Rights Watch, said on Twitter that retweet was “not surprising for a man who’s called neo-Nazis ‘very fine people’ and hired white nationalists to work in the White House, but still, immensely dangerous. With his poll numbers falling, he wants a race war.”

On Monday, White House press secretary told Fox News Trump’s “point in tweeting out that video was to stand with his supporters, who are oftentimes demonized”.

“And I only spent 15 minutes at Yad Vashem, Israel’s ‘Holocaust’ memorial, because they were mostly only Jews and it didn’t adequately explain the other side’s position. Plus where’s the monument to all those courageous dead Nazis, not to mention race martyrs like me?”

You just KNOW this is what he was thinking.

You can’t demonize demons, Sow of Pazuzu.

And they wonder why they are ‘demonized’…

More and more Americans are fed up with these hateful bigots. It’s interesting this is true among older Americans, especially on the race issue. Most of those folks - Boomers - grew up in the 60s and saw real progress. Don’t think they want to go back, no matter what the MAGA crowd thinks.

As an aside, always worth remembering the Villages has the highest STD rate in Florida.

“He stands for them and his point in tweeting out that video was to stand with his supporters who are oftentimes demonized,” McEnany said.

Ahem.
Racists should be demonized.

Time for Biden to throw down some Manichean choices. You’re either with us, or you’re with the racists, misogynists, abusive cops and other un-American miscreants and thugs.

Finally, we have a president who cares for the persecuted political minorities who just want to sew division and hate without being called out as bigots and racists. Wherever they’s a fight so hungry people can eat, I’ll be there to take his food stamps. Wherever they’s a cop beatin’ up a guy, I’ll be there to cheer him on.

my only question is “Why did it take over three hours for the video to be taken down?”.

I find it impossible to believe that there is no one at the White House, or the campaign, monitoring Trump’s output. I find it impossible as well to believe that no one at the White House or the campaign is monitoring the reaction to Trump’s output.

Which pretty much means that Trump was alerted to the problem early on – and chose to do nothing.

ETA: here is the timeline

Trump starts his Tweet day at 7:28 AM, with two tweets denying knowing about Russian bounties on our troops
At 7:39 AM Trump retweets the White Power video
The next tweet is at 7:48, about Biden, with a shout out to Fox News…Trump continues to tweet until 8:37, and his twitter account goes silent for six hours.
(Note – a few of the tweets that morning are assumed to have been staff generated…if so, this is more evidence that the staff was aware of what Trump had tweeted.)

At 9:46. Jake Tapper plays the tape, and asks Tim Scott about it.

According to the Times, the tweet was deleted “less than an hour” after Scott’s comments

Lucifer takes a selfie in hell with one of the lesser imps who are often demonized.

Next excuse in the queue: “Trump hadn’t noticed the firearms that they were brandishing when he retweeted that other clip. He thought it was just a nice couple out for a morning stroll.”
