White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Monday attempted to defend President Trump’s tweet that baselessly accused NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace of creating a “hoax” following the controversy that ensued over a noose found in his garage stall last month.
“The President said he wasn’t making a judgment one way or the other. You are focusing on one word at the very bottom of the tweet,” McEnany said. “That is completely taking it out of context and neglecting the complete rush to judgment.”
I usually don’t comment on someone’s appearance, but don’t her false eyelashes in this picture make her look like a cartoon? What does she see when she looks in the mirror? Are WH personnel delusional about every single piece of reality?
Funny that Trump now seems to be defending the FBI’s conclusion that no hate crime was committed. Doesn’t he think the FBI is part of the deep state and filled with crooked cops?
But just consider this. A noose, whether or not meant to be discovered by Bubba Wallace, decorates a facility of an overwhelmingly white organization, most of whose facilities are located in the states formerly comprising the Confederacy and where the Confederate flag has long been proudly displayed in NASCAR’s overwhelmingly white crowds. And we’re being asked to believe that the noose is just an innocent part of the building and has no ideological significance? Really?
As Freud famously said, “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.” But I don’t really think the same thing can be said of a noose.
Exactly. The shiny object shit is what he wants them to focus on and sadly, they oblige him. On the other hand, this is where he’s losing most of the country in the polls, by fomenting and trying to start a race war. Either way, no matter what dumb slacker they put up there, they’re gonna lie, make up shit on the fly and be non-responsive because they don’t think they owe the country anything even as public servants. Its what they do in this White House. They’ve long made a mockery of those WH briefings. I don’t know why the press even bothers to show up. They might as well beg to be lied to because they know they won’t get a truth telling out of whoever is speaking for tRump.
I like how Jonathon Karl followed up on Peter Alexander’s question about Trump’s confederate flag tweet. One of these days, the entire room will press her on a single question. Maybe the question should be “Is the President considering resigning before the election, in the face of the mounting Covid-19 death toll that his inadequate and confused actions have contributed to?”
Confederate battle flag, eh? Do not forget, those officers who were serving in the U.S military then turned on this country to join the confederacy after taking an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
If I swore that oath and then turned on the United States, what would I be labeled? You know the answer.
