WH Drops Tanden’s Near-Hopeless Nomination Amid GOP, Manchin Outrage Over Tweets

The White House announced on Tuesday evening that Neera Tanden, President Joe Biden’s pick for Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director, had withdrawn her likely doomed nomination.

The tweets were an excuse not to choose her. Truth is she lacked a certain male appendage and had excessive quantities of melanin in her DNA.

Don’t forget her connection to Hillary Clinton.

And her identification of Manchin’s daughter as a profiteering EpiPen leech.

Well…bye

For Manchin, I would say the mighty Twitter Wurlitzer is just getting warmed-up.

Okay. So no more people in government with rude tweets. Can we remember this during the midterms?

And the conventional wisdom is Harris holds the tie breaking vote in the Senate. Ha! She’s the 50th Dem vote, and Manchin breaks the ties.

So rude tweets for me and not thee? This is BS, and you better know it. Manchin has some petty reasoning besides tweets since he voted to confirm tweet troll Grenell.

It is a petty reason however maybe it will mean people will think twice before tweeting their every thought and opinion.

Worked great for Trump…what’s your point?

Those nasty little hypocritical toads. CHANGE THE FKN CHANNEL and listen to the lies and ‘rudeness’ from the big bad men screaming at Wray for ‘lying’ about the insurrectionists…doesn’t he KNOW it’s really the OTHER uppity rude woman Nancy Pelosi that is responsible for all that??? Manchin is on my list.

Yep, saw that coming. Just wondering why it took so long.

This report is missing the information that Tanden and Manchin also have had a long history of deep and repeated disagreement over policy during her years with the Center for American Progress.

But it was her mean tweets, he said.

Which says more about Manchin than it does about her.

Because if Joe caved too soon it would be perceived as a weakness.

I was bothered by her Tweets. I know CAP is an “advocacy” organization, which is where she did this, but it’s just not professional to engage in ad hominem attacks on Twitter. She couldn’t go into OMB, which is a highly politicized agency, with a string of enemies waiting to attack. I am relieved she stepped aside because it was the right thing to do and because it denies the old white men in the Senate the opportunity to say no.

It is of course the height of hypocrisy to focus on her tweets and ignore the
Republiscum and their tweets. But here’s a suggestion to all tweeters: stay away from the bird: it will lead you into dumb behavior in a nanosecond.

Republican senators’ anger over Tanden’s Twitter activity raised eyebrows given their flat acceptance of ex-President Donald Trump’s abusive tweets throughout his presidency before his account was permanently suspended.

What eyebrows were raised…? We watch this all encompassing hypocrisy manifest every single day amongst the morally challenged GOP …reminds me of the tag team wrestling matches of old…close to being pinned, one of these assholes will jump off the turnbuckle on somebody’s neck or slam a chair from ringside into someone’s skull…the crowd goes wild…

Wow. Silly me didn’t even know Republican lawmakers knew how to read tweets. They never saw Donald’s.

That would be nice
