WH Doctor Shifts Story On Trump’s COVID Diagnosis During Evasive Briefing | Talking Points Memo

White House physician Sean Conley delivered a vague and evasive update on President Trump’s treatment for coronavirus on Saturday, contradicting earlier information about the President’s diagnosis and leaving many unanswered questions.

I wonder if White House officials regret lying so much for years that now, when they really could use some credibility, the bottle is empty.

Funniest thing you’ll read all day:

Trump was allowed to proceed based on an “honor system.”

Given the White House propensity for lying, this probably means they’re likely fitting someone for a toe tag as they speak.

A White House official clarifies Dr. Conley’s timeline. He says Conley meant to say it’s Day 3, not 72 hours in—the diagnosis was made Thursday night—and that Garibaldi meant to say it’s been two days, not 48 hours, since the Regeneron was administered on Thursday night.

That briefing was pure, unadulterated bullsnort. Nothing but lies and prevarication and puffery. It had a real Dear Leader/North Korea feel. I am surprised that they didn’t claim that tRump started his day, as he always does, with a 1000 one-armed pushups (500 with each arm).

And imagine spending all of those years in medical school and then on extra medical training just to get up in front of the American people and lie for a morbidly obese reality television star who had to pay someone to take the SAT test for him. If you were a normal person, you’d have to feel like a real ass.

I would say that there is a pretty good chance that he’ll need O2 through a non-rebreather mask by Wednesday or Thursday and he’ll be in the ICU. Whether or not he gets any sicker than that is anyone’s guess, but today’s report hints that Trump is probably going to get worse before anyone hears from him again.

One doesn’t expect his doctor to tell the truth, do you?

Even so this clarification of the updating doesn’t bolster the doc’s credibility.
Dr. Conley is from the Navy, which I believe always supplies the WH with a doctor. I wonder though if the Navy sent over a few docs for Don’s casting call?

But then this is nothing new for the Trump White House.

It’s the same honor system which allowed Chiselin’ Trump to proceed into:

  • E. Jean Carroll’s dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman.
  • The backstage dressing rooms at various beauty pageants, including Miss Teen USA.

If it turns out that Trump tested positive BEFORE the debate, then there need to be criminal charges.

Immediately.

He is scared. This seems closer to the truth than anything to date.

Conversations w Republicans close to WH over last 12 hours indicate it’s been far more dire than WH has said. Before being taken to Walter Reed, Trump kept asking aides, “Am I going out like Stan Chera? Am I?” (Chera was Trump’s NYC friend who died of Covid in April)

Hey, if Fat Nixon didn’t get charged for all the STD he spread while draft dodging, and since,.he can claim there’s no President for him to be charged.

If you watch the video of him going on the helicopter, he shakingly pats the top of the rail. Like he knew that may be his last ride.

At least the Miss PreTeen pageant made Donnie leave his video camera at the door.
