Didn’t DeJoy first speak to a Senate committee? Was it there or in the House that DeJoy promised documents? Or DeJoy presented documents to the senate committee but not the House’s committee?

And your point is, Meadow Muffin? DeJoy to DeTrump.

Distract, deflect, deny, defend, but never accept responsibility.
I am so sick of these grifting bastards.

The Post spoke to several former employees of DeJoy’s. David Young, the director of human resources at New Breed until 2013, told the paper that DeJoy “asked employees for money. We gave him the money, and then he reciprocated by giving us big bonuses.”

Sort of like when Teddy and Carmine volunteer money to Vito and Guido to assure their dry cleaning business is safe from being burned down I guess.

Pardon the O/T, but amid all the stuff about that self-centered asshole up there, I thought it might be nice to throw in a bit about some selfless heroes. (Not losers or suckers.)

They flew into the fire: How California National Guard crews rescued hundreds in Creek Fire

Quick little quote from the article:

“Every piece of vegetation you could see as far as you could see around that lake was on fire,” Goding said. He’s deployed overseas and been shot at while flying combat missions, This mission was worse.

ETA: Imagine you’re standing there, stuck on a dock with everything around you on fire, and out of the smoke you see a CH-47 Chinook whop whop whopping its way to you. I guarantee you that, regardless of their political backgrounds, at that moment there wasn’t a single goddamn Libertarian anywhere on that dock.

“If you elected this guy, the suburbs would be overwhelmed with violence and crime” – Trump’s campaign message has devolved into just straight-up trying to terrify people

Not like Meadows would know anything about the abuse of Congressional oversight: “Benghazi!”
Besides, it’s relevant to the fucking president: he keeps choosing these dubious mother fuckers for his cabinet and senior federal positions. It’s a reflection of his impoverished judgement, and should be weighed in in considering reelecting him.

Donnie himself said he was OK with an investigation, so what’s the fuss?

Meadows has completely drowned himself in the punch bowl.

I suppose we could just chalk up any attempt to uncover or investigate corruption in government as being “aimed at Trump”, by default. Because of course that’s where the center of the universe lies (in The World According to Trump).

Trump is also where the stink of corruption emanates from, so I suppose Meadows is correct… how could any of this not be aimed at Trump?

PS: Good job on this one, TPM. You actually used a photo of Meadows for this article even though Trump’s name was in the headline. Thank you!

He’s Trump’s Postmaster General and all roads lead to the President, Meadows. That’s what being President is about.

So… If trump shoots someone between now and the election, nobody can investigate that because it would be political and we can’t interfere with the election or charge a sitting president with a crime…

Well sure, like everything else, they will just chalk it up as happening “in the heat of the election”…
