WH Can’t Explain Trump Michigan Tweets | Talking Points Memo

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany dodged Wednesday when asked what, exactly, was illegal about Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson sending out absentee voting applications to all registered voters in the state, after President Trump went after the state official on Twitter earlier in the day.

I have been voting by mail for 20 years. I can check to see if the county has received my ballot and whether it has been counted and if I have a question we can always look at the paper ballots. Hard to see any problem with the system unless 'donnie 'shortfingers shuts down the PO.

“There is evidence!” is like overhearing “is too!” in a preschool playground (EDIT: I guess there is evidence…Republicans commit voter fraud quite a bit)

(Back when we could have preschoolers in a playground…thanks Trump)

The only voter fraud I’ve seen has been committed by Republicans.
She doesn’t have a shred of evidence because there is none.

Is she one of those good Christian Evangies? You know, the kind that lie about everything.

So how many days in a row has she lied after promising not to? I’ll go with ‘every’ so I don’t have to keep counting.

Allowing the possibility for Democrats to win in Michigan is what is illegal, obviously. Couldn’t she have said that?

We, wife and me in PA, received mail in ballots.
We mailed them and received an E-mail saying ballots were received.

During the impeachment of President Trump, an expert witness called by Democrats floated a theoretical scenario involving the president threatening a state hammered by a natural disaster, to illustrate the corruption of Trump’s shakedown of Ukraine.

What would we think if Trump dangled federal disaster aid as leverage to force a governor to do his political bidding, asked Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan, adding: “Wouldn’t you know in your gut that the president had abused his office? That he betrayed the national interest?”

If Trump has a regime, it’s in its beginning stages. Real autocracy doesn’t do this kind of “explaining” stuff.

Somebody told Trump he’d lose the election if there was too much voting by mail. It’s not about fraud. It’s not about tradition. It’s about losing the election or, more importantly, building a great big steaming pile of excuses for why he lost the election, once he loses it. He will use that big steaming pile to fund raise off of (which I genuinely believe was his real plan in the last election, foiled by under-estimating Putin’s power over Facebook, etc.)
