Although President Trump has yet to tweet his own thoughts on Tuesday’s public impeachment hearings, the White House attacked one of its own officials — Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who still works for the White House on the National Security Council.
Vindman is a fact witness. He is reporting the facts he saw. He seems to be pretty good at that. Vindman’s judgment isn’t involved here. Whether his judgment is good or bad is irrelevant to this matter. I suspect it is a lot better than 9 out of 10 Republicans on the committee.
Yes it did, and it was a sound judgment. Sadly it is a judgment that the Republicans have chosen to question. Apparently they are asserting that it reflects an unwillingness to stick within the chain of command.
Remember when the White House was saying it was “highly inappropriate” to question John Kelly because of his military rank? I guess a Lt Colonel ranking is still low enough that it is subject to shameful Republican smearing.
Well then more the merry to charge for witness tampering. Pretty soon we’ll be forced to hold them in the ICE detention cages, in Texas, during the summer.
