WH Attacks Vindman Amid Testimony | Talking Points Memo

Here we go again.

Although President Trump has yet to tweet his own thoughts on Tuesday’s public impeachment hearings, the White House attacked one of its own officials — Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who still works for the White House on the National Security Council.

Which Shakespeare play follows an aging villain whose life falls apart because the only people he trusts to advise him are vapid soothsayers?

So, they just used another account to smear him instead. Can you see Drumph dictating?

This is merely a separate account being used for witness tampering and defamation.

Vindman is a fact witness. He is reporting the facts he saw. He seems to be pretty good at that. Vindman’s judgment isn’t involved here. Whether his judgment is good or bad is irrelevant to this matter. I suspect it is a lot better than 9 out of 10 Republicans on the committee.

He is a fact witness, but to say that his judgment is irrelevant goes too far.

For example, after listening in on the famous phone call, his first act was to talk to the chief NSC lawyer. Deciding to do this took judgment.

Yes it did, and it was a sound judgment. Sadly it is a judgment that the Republicans have chosen to question. Apparently they are asserting that it reflects an unwillingness to stick within the chain of command.

From the article: “Vindman… was offered a defense minister position with Ukraine three times.”

That’s nothing. Donald J. Trump was offered a position as Vladimir Putin’s bitch over and over and over.

–> Unlike Colonel Vindman, Trump accepted the offer.

Why does Trump hate the troops?

Are you looking for Richard III?

Now is certainly the winter of Trump’s discontent (at least it feels like winter where I am).

Who would Trump order to be killed if he could?

Schiff? Pelosi? Biden? Romney? The Whistelblowers?

All of the above.

Remember when the White House was saying it was “highly inappropriate” to question John Kelly because of his military rank? I guess a Lt Colonel ranking is still low enough that it is subject to shameful Republican smearing.

Shakespeare? Don’t know him. Never met him. Never heard of him.

Well then more the merry to charge for witness tampering. Pretty soon we’ll be forced to hold them in the ICE detention cages, in Texas, during the summer.
