WH Aides Were Immediately Worried About Ukraine Call, Moved To Put Transcript In Vault

As soon as President Trump hung up the phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25, his aides jumped into motion to address concerns about the conversation, including taking steps to put notes on the call in a password-protected, highly-classified vault, CNN reported.

How’s that workin’ for them, now?

Is there a subpoena in the offing to get that transcript?

Barr was implicated on the call and was immediately contacted.

But actual legal counsel wasn’t.

Ergo, the WH aides wanted to suppress it.

Subpoena them all. By 5pm.

it was possible Eisenberg ordered the memo placed in the vault because it would need to be preserved for legal reasons

Won’t believe until I hear him confirm it under oath and at the same time describe the memo in it’s entirety.

Yup. Nothing to see here: no consciousness of guilt, no cover up conspiracy… Bet those lawyer bills are gonna be massive…

Somewhat OT for this thread: apparently Ghouliani is now saying he won’t testify unless 1) Schiff is removed from the committee and 2) there’s a formal vote for the impeachment inquiry in the House.

Yup. Dickhead.

Looks like they’ve got just about everyone, including the janitor, leaking now. Better call a plumber.

Flailing dickhead. In fact, I think he just stomped on his own dickhead.

No need, we already have it, thanks to MoscowMitch and Trump (some questions remain about whether it’s entirely complete, but even what’s there is enough).

Will go down as the biggest own-goal in history, that the one time he doesn’t try to drag his feet on providing something, he provides something that could take his whole presidency down.

This doesn’t look suspicious at all.

The WH internally is very different from the WH they like to project.

What’s that expression, again? Can’t remember where it came from:

It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup.

Except in this case it is the crime, but the coverup could still catch a few white house weenies.

You’ve misspelled it. It’s GuiLIEani!!

Never thought it would be a smocking memo.

I was just thinking that one of these Administrations looks nothing like all the other ones. Whichever one could it be?

Doing his job. The coordinated narrative is that the way the democrats are going about the impeachment is wrong and has partisan bias. They’re trying to create the impression that the trial part takes place in the House and that the president is being denied the ability to put up a defense.

Yeah, I wonder about that. Could some of those involved in sequestering the notes have been involved in goading him into releasing the notes, thus removing any liability they had for the attempted coverup?

The accounts I’ve seen all center on MoscowMitch having done the convincing. Of all people.

Do the Ukrainians have a recording of the call?

Yes, I know. But how did Mitch know? Who talked to whom? And this implies that MM knew he was talking Trump into unberbussing himself.
