We Were ‘Required By Law’ To Turn Over Call Records To Congress, AT&T Says | Talking Points Memo

Phone records provided by AT&T to the House impeachment inquiry provided some of the most concrete evidence yet of the behind-the-scenes machinery that fueled President Donald Trump’s pressure campaign on Ukraine.

Gosh. That response seems so reasonable and appropriate. I wonder why it sticks out as very unusual? O wait…

Good thing Trump hadn’t gotten wind of it earlier to claim executive privilege and throw it to the courts…

ATT&T must not be considering any mergers or significant acquisitions in the near future.

Those call logs will become the glue that connects this together…there’s no way that Giuliani is calling the White House that much unless it’s to get directions or give information. And there’s no way they can weasel out of those, and no viable explanation as to why those calls are there. I bet there’s more information that hasn’t come out yet, they are likely still trying to build some information into supporting documentation of the scheme and just waiting for further testimony or subpoenas documents to come out.

Yes, AT&T, thank you. That’s how the rule of law works. Perhaps you could explain it to the White House, the other Trumpsters, and the House Republicans.

The committees could have asked the NSA to provide call logs. Probably AT&T was more cooperative.

Well, that’s it then. It’s all a plot by CNN!

Tune in to Hannity and Carlson this evening to watch them parrot the party line.

Speaking of which, do the records show how often Donny talks to Hannity?

Isn’t that something, a company that follows what the law requires.

Really? Are you sure it’s not optional, like a subpoena?

First time I hear about the phone logs… probably they kept it quiet otherwise Congress would still be fighting it in court.

ATT gives vastly more to Republicans, so don’t get too excited.

‘By law’??? WTF? This WH doesn’t do ‘law’…they just do what they want and then scream when anyone anywhere brings up ‘the rule of law’.
