Abbott could get back to work stopping the spread of covid in Texas but he cares not. No mask mandate for him and to hell with that democrat vaccine crap.
Nothing like politicized health care to make the spread of a virus that much easier.
Yeah, Bill Gates’ executive assistant called me this morning and said I should cut down on the kale in my smoothies. I just knew I should have gone with Sinovac.
… with necklaces of chicken wings tied around their necks…
There should be a running tally - posted on billboards - of the scientifically verified estimate of the incremental number of children who die as a result of the DeSantis deranged denial of masking protection … will 500 children lose their lives as a result of this self-absorbed idiot’s deliberately lethal policy … or will it be 1000, or 2000 … or ??? Seriously … it is a wonder that he is not banning hand washing.
So I’m guessing Chuckie is either getting a tad nervous as more layers are peeled away with this investigation or the kompromat reminder call was received (or both).
I hear the Cubans have a decent vaccine all of their own and that island certainly does have a chip shortage.
Just sayin’.
Why get a fake vaccination card? Two possibilities: one you are a serious fraidy cat and faint at the very thought of those horse sized needles (in your fevered imagination). Two you are one of those for whom the phrase “You can’t cure stupid” is the best explanation. Number two covers a wide range of possibilities including cult membership, whether of the Rump or the Mercola variety and those who think the medical establishment is out to get them killed despite the fact that the first people who ran to get vaccinated are exactly the same people whom you rightly think have been favored by the medical establishment. Frankly, I have lost patience with every single one of these people.
I once knew someone who was convinced that dog biscuits were healthy enough to feed to their children as teething biscuits. Those people didn’t understand anything about what dogs actually like to eat.
I find the CDC card I got was too big to fit in my wallet easily so I went to Staples and got it copied and the copy a bit reduced in size, then the copy was laminated so as to preserve it. The original I keep in a safe place so if there’s a second booster shot made I will be ready for it to be noted when I get poked again for a third time
OT

I took a photo of mine and stashed it in the notes app on my phone.
Teen (and others), when you quote a tweet like this, or anything else without clear context, can you please give a short description of the topic, so we don’t have to click and wait for it to load?
Thanks.
DeSantis ulterior motive on banning mask mandates in public schools as well as threatening to cut funding to districts might be a way to funnel state funds to unaccountable charters and religious academies. The right wing disdain for public education is well documented so DeSantis will use COVID as an excuse to keep chipping away at it like his mentor Jeb did.
Hawaii has a similar tropical climate as Florida yet their vaccination rate is high along with lower than average infection and hospitalization rates. Maybe it’s the saner population there along with a sense of community that makes all the difference.
I’ll do what I can. I just assume everyone has fast internet… maybe Biden will do something about that?
the hospital wanted COVID on the death certificate for some nefarious reason I can make no sense of.
It is one of many bizarre claims that “hospitals and doctors get paid more if the cause of death is COVID”. No one I have challenged on that can ever tell you who would be paying this extra money and for what reason. But they read it (on Facebook) and it was reported (Tucker, Ingraham, Hannity) so there!
But, there’s historical precendence for using children (specifically, black children) as alligator bait. “It’s Heritage, Not Hate,” he’d yell. And the Rs would cheer and turn out in droves to vote for him.
Florida Gators opponents on the verge of defeat will no longer be serenaded with taunts of being “Gator Bait!”
UF president Kent Fuchs announced Thursday the popular cheer would be banned at sporting events due to the “horrific racist imagery” associated with the phrase, dating to the 19th century when black children were used as bait to lure alligators.
“While I know of no evidence of racism associated with our ‘Gator Bait’ cheer at UF sporting events, there is horrific historic racist imagery associated with the phrase,” Fuchs wrote in a letter to the university community. “Accordingly, University Athletics and the Gator Band will discontinue the use of the cheer.”
Story here: Florida Gators banning ‘Gator Bait’ cheer because of racist imagery
ETA: As noted above, there’s no racism associated with the origin of the cheer but it’s too closely related factually to actual racist history. I support UF’s decision and will miss it but we (hopefully) move on, closer to that more perfect union.
It won’t be long before he’s trying to hide those numbers, considering how many are being hospitalized already before schools have even reopened.
The polarization surrounding mask mandates is deepening as some state and local officials spar on how to approach face coverings protocols in schools, a debate unfolding as more children contract Covid-19.
I am appalled with the Republican Party members who have absolutely no shame and feel they can attempt to take credit for this effort. They feel they can lie and sell to their base and constituents the opposite of what they do and their supporters will believe them - with McConnell at the front of the line. They have ceased to be a responsible, viable political party. All of them. The silence of the “moderate Republicans” with respect to the January 6th Insurrection is complicity. One can only hope (and work towards) the Republican Party going to the dustbin of disbanded political parties - I believe the Whig Party was the last major one to break up. Time for the Republicans to do the same as they are no longer credible.
- The administration told a court that it would agree to let Trump make his legal arguments against the Treasury Department turning over the returns even though the administration believes it ought to release the documents “promptly.”
Tick Tock, just in time for Thanksgiving, it should make for some interesting dinner time conversations. Hehe.
Dance, fat man, dance.
Yeah, Florida looks like Thunderdome on steroids
