The other whistleblower complaint involving President Trump may be released.
Ways and Means Committee Chair Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) said on Friday that he has consulted House attorneys about releasing the complaint, which his committee received in July.
If you thought last week was exhausting, it appears even as Congress is on break this week may be even more of a roller coaster. Trump’s hair is on fire!
Again, depends what’s in it. Doesn’t need a name for people in the know to be able to figure out who it is, particularly if whatever details in it are only known to a small circle of folks.
I’ve been fairly resistant to taking cheap pot-shots at House leadership, but I can’t say that Rep. Neal’s handling of his committee has especially impressed me.
Knowing Richie Neal’s rep I’m not optimistic, but I hope this is a sign that Dems are going to just keep throwing couches onto the dumpster fire. If they go this one-issue (Ukrainian phone call) route, I’m going to lose my mind.
It all depends how deep into the shit Barr is, at some point it should be clear that carrying water for a disloyal blabbermouth like Trump is hazardous and the interests of the plutocracy would be served just as well by President Karen Pence.
Mr. Neal is mulling the possibility of maybe convening a panel to start looking into the steps that might be taken to initiate a preliminary investigation into whether or not it would be a good idea to perhaps move towards a more formal, yet incremental and exploratory probe of Trump’s many brazen crimes. His inclination is to not appear partisan, therefore he wants to let GOP minority leaders know that he would never rush to judgement when it comes to something as possibly divisive as conducting oversight.
