This pandemic hit close to home again, today. A coworkerâs mother died from Covid-19. She lived in a nursing home and he wasnât able to be with her or say good bye. The victims arenât numbers or game pieces. They are people and Trump and his entourage need to stop playing games with this pandemic and start treating them and us as people.

Sorry to hear that. I think we will all be touched in some direct or indirect way by the time all this is over and theyâve figured out how to vaccinate us against it. Perhaps when we reach the number of patches equal to that on the AIDS quilt, which is 50,000, more people in our government will take this seriously. Or maybe weâll have to reach 150,000 that actually died from the disease. Letâs hope it doesnât take as long but day after day of reading about recalcitrant idiots opposed to science in the news forces me sometimes to lose hope.
